𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 – 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝.

On April 10, the Recognition Day for Descartes’ Academic Excellence Awardees was held. A total of 11 students received 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙨 and 28 received 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙨.

Congratulations, Descartes, for finally completing the school year 2024–2025. All the hard work has once again paid off.

Alongside this achievement, we also celebrated our 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙮— a moment to look back on the connections we’ve built over the past two years. With graduation just a week away, cherishing these memories is a must.

A huge thank you to our adviser, 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 Marinelle Christine Acob Miguel, for her unwavering support, care, and guidance throughout the year. To our 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 who have always stood behind us in every step, and most importantly, to 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙮 𝙂𝙤𝙙, who gave us the strength and wisdom to endure this stressful yet joyful journey.

As the morning sun bathed the grand walls of the Minor Basilica of St. Nicholas of Tolentino, the Grade 12 students of Sinait National High School gathered in solemn joy on April 8, 2025, for a moment that marked the culmination of years of hard work— their Baccalaureate Mass.

Presided over by Rev. Fr. Willie Jones W. Ducusin, the heartfelt celebration was filled with blessings, reflections, and gratitude. In his message, Fr. Ducusin reminded the graduates to hold steadfast to their faith, cherish the journey behind them, and step boldly into the future.

With prayers offered for parents, teachers, and all who stood behind their success, the Mass became more than just a ceremony—it was a beautiful send-off into a new chapter.

As we stepped out into the world, we did so not just as graduates—but as dreamers anchored in faith and hope.

First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Ruthy Guzman Yasana II and Micromate Family Health Corp. for bringing such an engaging and educational activity to our class.

The 12 STEM Descartes Family truly appreciated the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the importance of gut health through an informative film viewing about Yakult. We learned about the consequences of neglecting our digestive system and how beneficial bacteria play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy gut.

A special highlight of the event was our photo opportunity with the Yakult Lady, making the experience even more memorable! Beyond digestion, the discussion seamlessly connected to our lesson this week on Homeostasis, reinforcing how maintaining balance within our body is essential for overall health.

Once again, thank you for this wonderful learning experience! Here’s to prioritizing gut health and making Yakult a daily habit!💙

Today marked our last lab activity for General Biology 2. It's hard to believe that this chapter of our academic journey has come to a close.

As graduation draws near, we can't help but feel a mix of emotions - happiness for the accomplishment, yet a bit of sadness knowing we'll miss these lab activities.

We're grateful for Ma'am Marinelle Christine Acob Miguel's guidance and support throughout our lab adventures. We've shared laughter, discoveries, and teamwork with our group mates, creating memories that will truly last a lifetime.

This may be our last lab, but the memories will also last forever.💋

On February 19, 2025, we had the privilege of witnessing our adviser, Ma’am Marinelle Christine Acob Miguel, as she conducted her 𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙤 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 2. The lesson focused on the 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢, and it was a fun, interactive, and enriching experience for all of us.

One of the most exciting parts of the session was our participation in various hands-on activities. We composed songs about the digestive system, performed roleplays showcasing the effects of healthy and unhealthy foods, and even created advertisements emphasizing the importance of proper digestion. These activities not only deepened our understanding but also made learning more engaging and enjoyable.

A highlight of Ma’am Marinelle’s demo was the "𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙡" activity, where we connected the nutrients needed for our body to the virtues essential for our growth, such as bravery, determination, and perseverance. This meaningful exercise reminded us that just as our bodies need nourishment, our souls require values that strengthen our character.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙉𝙞𝙣̃𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙋. 𝘼𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙖, STEM Group Head, and 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙅𝙤𝙖𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣 𝙄. 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖, TVL Group Head, for their presence and evaluation during Ma’am Marinelle’s demo.
