According to Weather Advisory No. 10 by the DOST-PAGASA issued at 5:00 pm on July 23, 2026, Negros Occidental will be expecting heavy rainfall due to Tropical Cyclone KIYAPO and Southwest Monsoon from today to tomorrow afternoon (July 24, 2026) with approximately 50-100 mm (Yellow Warning).

Therefore, as the chairman of the Silay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, I hereby declare CANCELLATION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES for both public and private schools, including its school workers, for ALL LEVELS within Silay City, effective tomorrow, July 24, 2026 (FRIDAY).This declaration is effective only until July 24, 2026, and shall be automatically lifted if the weather condition improves.
