As of 5:00 am today, February 11, 2026, Monitored Rainfall Warning in Visayas is now TERMINATED. NO OTHER WEATHER DISTURBANCE IS AFFECTING SILAY CITY as posted and forecasted by the DOST-PAGASA as of the moment.

With this, I hereby declare RESUMPTION OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (Public and Private) today, February 11, 2026.

In the event that the suspension of classes becomes necessary, school heads are hereby reminded of their authority to suspend classes in accordance with the pertinent Department of Education (DepEd) Orders and existing guidelines (DepEd Order No. 22, series of 2024).

For now, the Silaynons are advised to continue to monitor and report any untoward and possible risks as we safely send our children and loved ones to school.🫶

Due to actual flooding incidents today in various areas in Silay City and the Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 4 (Amendment) issued at 9:55 AM, February 9, 2026, with thunderstorm watch over Negros Occidental within 12 hours issued at 10:00 AM, February 9, 2026, by DOST-PAGASA, I hereby declare cancellation of face- to- face Classes for both public and private schools, including its school workers, within Silay City, effective 12:00 noon today, February 9, 2026 (Monday).

This declaration is effective only for February 9, 2026 and shall be automatically lifted if weather condition is improved.

The Silay City DRRM Council strongly encourages everyone to:
• Remain vigilant and cautious.
• Follow only official advisories and announcements.
