Pray to understand what man has forgotten -- Native American (Lumbee)

These days our children are taught to please the world's recent norms. Which eventually leads them to enter the fast lane of chasing deadlines, acquiring latest models, "earning" the top positions among the cascade of titles. There is no turning back, just numbly moving forward to "progress".

We are so grateful to join in their "Lakbay sa Kalikasan" where they reconnect the youth to what man has forgotten -- ang pag tiniil (barefoot), ang pagkaon sa Baol (coconut shell), ang pag ulikid sa kalikasan og kapwa tawo (to look after nature and each other), ang pag respeto sa katigulangan (respect for roots and elders), pagpaka-ubos sa Ginuo.

Salamat to the leadership of Clint Xeffy to gather the youth and bring them to a place of stillness to see, feel, hear, taste and do more...

To all the elders, officers, tatay Filcon Rivera, kitchen and logistics team -- salamat sa walang kamatayan na pag palangga sa kalikasan og kabataan!

Exposing the kids to learn the beauty of making a home out of natural resources just around the forest. In Lasangguela Earth Workshops we value more in showing and sharing wisdom and knowledge. Instead of focusing on imposing rigid rules which kids normally experience in school. We value freedom of expression. We value harmony with our natural environment. We treasure the experience of what it is to go out there in the wilds- for them to experience nature first hand.

We take our kids out of the class room and show them the wisdom of the natural world. We impart to them that we are nature, and nature is us . To learn best about the natural world is to be out here in the wilderness not inside a classroom showing them pictures about nature.
