โ˜‘FULL ALERT
โ˜‘CAMP DEFENSE
โ˜‘INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM

The day began for Quezon CCPS personnel with a heightened sense of action as the station remained on Full Alert Status. Acting on reliable information from an agent warning of an impending attack by Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members, the team remained vigilant. Their readiness proved crucial when they came under attack by suspected CTG gunmen. Thanks to coordinated efforts and swift response, the firefight concluded with the neutralization of five individuals and the surrender of three alleged CTG members.

Maintaining vigilance throughout the day, a hostage situation unfolded at Landbank, Brgy. Camp Castaneda, Silang, Cavite. PCPT MARVIN LAROYA, Chief of Operations at QCCPS, led a ten-man team as first responders, accompanied by a negotiator. Nearby agencies collaborated to manage the crisis, activating the Incident Command System. The Incident Command System (ICS) is a single standardized emergency management system designed to allow users to adopt an integrated organizational structure equal to the complexity and demands of any size or type of emergency incident. With PMAJ MARK JORDAN MARTINEZ, Deputy COP, assuming the role of Incident Commander. Responders from Aguinaldo Station, Cavite Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the SWAT Team were deployed. Following over two hours of negotiation, eight hostage takers were apprehended, and their fi****ms confiscated, ensuring the safety of all involved.

A police officer's duty extends beyond bravery and emergency response skills, requiring patience and strategic negotiation to safeguard both hostages and responders.

โ˜‘SERVICE OF SEARCH WARRANT
โ˜‘FULL ALERT
โ˜‘CAMP DEFENSE PLAN

On March 20, 2024, the personnel of Quezon CCPS started their day by serving the search warrant issued by HON MODEL GARITA TESORO led by PCPT GARJAS, Chief, Investigation Section, with DOCKET No. 12-1113 to seize CANIK 9mm with SN 644313-21 owned by the suspect identified as LLOYD PURO TULOG residing at Landbank Brgy. Crime Scene Plaza. With the operation completed, LLOYD PURO TULOG was promptly taken into custody and transported to Quezon Component City Police Station for booking and inquest.

PLTCOL SYLWEN RYAN PEDREGOSA, the station's Chief of Police, had issued a directive to all personnel to maintain full alert status in anticipation of the upcoming NPA anniversary and SUMVAC 2024. In response, a series of measures were put into action such as increasing police visibility,
conducting checkpoints and random inspections at entry and exit points of Quezon City,
coordinating with other law enforcement agencies and utilizing social media and online platforms to disseminate information about potential threats.

As information of a possible attack on the station in the evening was received from a reliable agent, PMAJ MARK JORDAN MARTINEZ, Acting Chief of Police, intensified security measures around the station's premises and implemented the Camp Defense Plan designating each personnel their specific roles during this high alert situation.

โ˜‘FLAG RAISING CEREMONY
โ˜‘SITG
โ˜‘TURNOVER CEREMONY OF QCCPS COP

On March 18, 2024, personnel of Quezon CCPS held the traditional Flaf Raising Ceremony together with the Daily Personnel Accounting Report (DPAR) with Police Information and Continuing Education (PICE) that focused on the effectivity of Police Community Relations in establishing public trust with PMAJ Mark Jordan M Martinez, Deputy COP.

The Quezon CCPS activated SITG and held a conference regarding the recently found cadaver within the vicinity of the station.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has a special team called the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) dedicated to investigating serious crimes like kidnappings, murders, and terrorist attacks. Made up of skilled detectives, forensic experts, and intelligence agents, the SITG works together to gather evidence and solve complex cases. They may also involve other government agencies depending on the case. Their main goal is to thoroughly investigate, gather information, and identify suspects. They coordinate with other agencies, share information, and update the public and media on their progress. Ultimately, the SITG aims to bring offenders to justice and ensure the safety of the community.

In the evening, the Turnover Ceremony for the Incoming and Outgoing Chief of Police of Quezon CCPS was presided by PLTCOL RICKSON GUIAB, Chief of Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit (PARMU) Cavite. The turnover went smoothly with inspiring messages from the Incoming Chief of Police, PLTCOL SELWYN RYAN PEDREGOSA and words of gratitude for the future endeavors of outgoing Chief of Police, PLTCOL JOSEPH LESTER LIDEM. This served as a fresh start for personnel of Quezon CCPS under new management.

Establishing a police station and simulating its daily operations for 9 day with a team of 42 members is both exciting and challenging. On our first day, we faced th task of setting up our station, the Quezon City Component Police Station, with minimal resources. Despite initial difficulties, teamwork helped us transform our designated area, old moot court, into a functional headquarters. Each team member was assigned specific roles, reflecting real police station sections. Although we were new to the work, we poured our efforts and applied what we observed on the recently concluded Station Immersion . This exercise, blending simulation with reality, prepared us for unexpected scenarios. This activity emphasized to us that mistakes made during training can't be undone in real situations. This experience highlighted the importance of diligence and attention to detail in our future careers.

Today, we are bound to transition back to our cadet duties after completing the Station Immersion phase. PBGEN ALIGRE L MARTINEZ, the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO IV-A conveyed PBGEN PAUL KENNETH T LUCAS, Regional Director, PRO IV-A, congratulations for successfully completing the 19-day program. Despite facing challenges, we finished without any incidents, showcasing our resilience in this immersive experience. The Dean of Academics, PBGEN ARNOLD P ARDIENTE, expressed gratitude to the PRO IV-A command group for allowing us to have an experience of real-world policing, urging us to remain dedicated and vigilant. A boodle fight with officers who wholeheartedly supported us throughout this journey made this occasion more memorable. As this chapter closes, another opens for us, offering opportunities to apply our newfound knowledge and skills in future law enforcement endeavors. We eagerly anticipate further growth and development as we continue our journey towards becoming exemplary police officers, ready to serve with excellence and integrity.

The last of February 2024 also marks our last day in the Second Phase of our Cadet Attachment Program , Station Immersion. This 19-day immersive experience in the actual work of a police officer is really an eye-opener for me and allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the theoretical knowledge that was taught inside the Academy. The real McCoy is indeed much different from what the books can teach us inside the four corners of the Academics building. I learned that the career of a police officer not only lies in his knowledge but it is also critical to have dedication and compassion in serving the public as demonstrated by the seasoned police officers I was together with in the Cabuyao Component City Police Station.

During the night, we had a fellowship activity held at the Provincial Police Office together with all the Lakans in Laguna under the leadership of PCOL GAUVIN MEL Y UNOS, Acting Provincial Director, Laguna. All our upperclass present shared their experience and guidance to us which I think we need as we are facing a critical moment in our journey as we near the day we graduate and become a full-pledged Police officer.

This experience will always be with me as I go along my path as a future law enforcer and this will serve as a foundation in how I will perform my role once I fully become a Police Lieutenant in God's will after two months.
