On March 01, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the closing ceremony of phase 2 of CAP at Police Regional Office 4A, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna

As we reminiscence, it's appropriate to take some time to consider the priceless experiences, knowledge, and understanding we've obtained while on board as our station immersion draws to a close. Our time at the station has had a profoundly transformational effect on us, making us into more capable, sympathetic, and committed future law enforcement officers.

We have been exposed to a broad range of law enforcement activities during our immersion, from community outreach initiatives to first-hand encounters in multiple station departments. We now have a better grasp of the difficulties and complexities of policing in a diverse community as a result of each encounter.

On February 29, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the daily activities of the police station.

As it is our final day in the station, we remained and observed on the station operated as our reference on the next phase of the cadet attachment program.

We were introduced to the diverse range of responsibilities performed by seasoned investigators through observation of their work, which included case analysis, questioning strategies, and evidence collecting. We learned vital information about the painstaking process of obtaining and maintaining evidence through this practical experience, realizing its critical role in proving guilt or innocence in criminal procedures. We saw firsthand the exacting care that must be taken to record and manage evidence in order to guarantee its acceptability in court.

We had fun in the station as we clear up our doubts in the theory and the practical. The station cleared our doubts about the Quad concepts of the PNP. The Quad concept has given us guidance and means to focus the activities surrounding it.

On February 28, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station reported to the newly appointed Chief of Police, Trece Martires Component City Police Station, PLTCOL MICHAEL D. BATOCTOY.

The Chief of Police inquired to us about our situation and problems in which we have responded that we are fine and enjoying our stay in the police station as it has given us new opportunities and knowledge to put into practice what we have learned. He also shared with us of his experiences of being the former Chief of Police of Imus, Laguna.

He described that being adaptable in the police service is a needed skill. Everyday would be a surprise as life cannot dictate everything to us. He also shared to learn from other's experience, not from your own experience as learning from your experience is too expensive.

As we cadets understood the message he was relaying to us, we took it to heart as it is experience from our senior. Guidance is the key to ensuring that future generations can cope and adapt to the challenges of life.

On February 27, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the daily activities of the police station.

We cadets joined the daily activities of the police station, we were organized and assigned to different police outpost and joined their daily activities and routines for the safety of their area of activities.

I had been assigned to Outpost 5 wherein there is warehouse dropped off for companies such as LBC, Lazada, Shoppee, and other courier services. We conduct Silip Bodega to check for any use of contrabands that may be transported from here to another location. The act of doing so help in the breaking of the chain of transport to fail the operations of criminals.

In the evening, we had observed how the personnel conduct night activities and how they do so to properly address the crime rate of the city.

The activity ended without any untoward accidents.

On February 26, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the Flag Raising at City Hall.

Honoring our country and their sacrifices, the flag raising ceremony, the act of remembering heroes who had ideals for our country. The fact that Patriotism exists to this day makes their sacrifice all worth it and remembered for countless generations to come.

After the flag raising ceremony, we cadets had a session with PCOL FERDINAND M. GARAY (ret.) regarding Community Service Orientation Policy System (CSOPS). As a retired member of the police service, he imparted on us the experiences and knowledge he had gathered upon the police service. We cadets had a lot of time understanding the experiences he shared to us and the love he had for his country.

The overall activity ended with fruitful insights and wisdom which we will go and use towards our future.

On February 23, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the daily activities of the police station.

We cadets together with personnel of outpost 5 conducted establishment visitation and police visibility. We have observed that we always converse with the owner of the establishment or the ones who are employed there. We engaged in conversation to know if there are anything amiss in the area and if there is a need for the concern of our police. The citizens are amiable and friendly with us. The mere fact and action show that the police and the community are not against each other or at odds with each other. They fully support the police and their actions to keep the community safe.

We patrolled the area a few more times to deter would be criminals in attempting to commit crime in our area. The citizens appreciate the fact and even report to our police officers of any suspicious movement to alert the police.

On February 22, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the daily activities of the police station.

We have patrolled around establishments that we have reasonable suspicion to be used as a medium to transport or destroy material evidences used in a crime. We have Silip Bodega that the police officers to check storage areas. We have a routine check on the items being delivered at the Lazada's warehouse to spot contrabands using the delivery courier as a means to transport illegal items. They also conducted Bisita Alpha to check junkshops of discarded motor parts obtained from the stolen motor vehicles as a way to discard and profit from their crimes. We have also checked establishments conversing and obtaining information if there are any complaints that would require the support of the police station in addressing your concerns.

The overall activities ended with fruitful insights.

On February 21, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the daily activities of the police station.

We have observed how the police officers conducted their daily routine and proactive efforts to maintain peace and order and also implement city ordinances. The activity of the station on Oplan Sita is to see the violations done by the citizens and to implement the corresponding actions to remind the citizen to abide by the rules and regulations of the city.

We have done various establishment checks on Brgy. Cabuco and Lapidario, establishing patrol routes and showing concern to the citizens by engaging in conversations that would arouse interests to us such as suspicious activities and persons in the area of activity. We often converse with the public raising concerns and questions that they would like to inform us about.

Overall, the police visibility and concern show us the willingness to engage with the community and help in their issues and concerns of the community.

On February 20, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined as security to the program of Senator Imee B. Marcos on Brgy. De Ocampo, Trece Martires City, Cavite and conducted information drive on radio at DZJV 1458 Calabarzon at Calamba, Laguna.

I have observed that the police service actively supports the Local Government Units in their programs and actions to improve the city and its development. The Trece Martires Component City Police Station actively supports and joins the program by providing security and making sure that the programs runs smoothly without interruptions and keeping peace and order within the community.

The Chief of Police, Trece Martires Component City Police Station, advised us cadets to also spread information about the PNPA and gave us a chance to do the radio guesting at Calamba, Laguna which we agreed to do. As being a part of the public community relations of the PNP, sharing about the PNPA is a way to close the gap of the tense relations of the PNP and the community. We also hoped that the spreading of information can bolster the ranks of the PNP and inspire citizens to serve the community and protect the nation.

On February 19, 2024, the Cadets of Trece Martires Component City Police Station joined the Flag Raising Ceremony on Trece Martires City Hall and conducted courtesy call to the Mayor and Vice Mayor.

Patriotism, an unwavering love and devotion to one's country, transcends geographic boundaries to become a deeply ingrained virtue that influences individuals' thoughts, actions, and commitments. The Philippine National Flag symbolizes the rich history of the country in achieving freedom and independence from foreign powers who had enslaved our country and countrymen for more than 300 years. Our weekly flag raising ceremony is a tradition that honors their heroism, patriotism, bravery and sacrifice to freeing the country and for the preparation of the future of the Filipino's, without their sacrifice, the Philippines may not what it is today.

On February 16, 2024, we cadets with personnel of Trece Martires Component City Police Station conducted patrol. Police patrol is a fundamental and visible aspect of law enforcement that involves officers regularly and systematically patrolling assigned areas to maintain public safety, prevent crime, and respond to emergencies. Patrol officers are often the first line of defense in communities, providing a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensuring a rapid response to incidents. The primary goals of police patrol include crime prevention, public reassurance, and community engagement.

The motto of the police station is crime prevention. The policy is to be proactive. The crime rate dropped when the police changed their tactics from reactive to proactive means. Proactive means remove the opportunity for offenders to commit crime. I personally witnessed the closeness of the police officers to the community.

As I observed, the community befriends the police, not shy away from them. This is a positive changed from the community that the police can now expect support from the community.

On February 15, 2024, We cadets got to observe how a checkpoint is done. A police checkpoint, also known as a roadblock or sobriety checkpoint, is a predetermined location where law enforcement officers stop vehicles to check for various compliance measures. These checkpoints are established to enforce specific laws, ensure public safety, and deter illegal activities. A checkpoint is a highlight to ensure peace and order to the community. A checkpoint was conducted on Outpost 2, Hugo Perez, Trece Martires City, Cavite.

In the Afternoon, we cadets together with the OIC, Trece Martires Component City Police Station PLTCOL ERICSON B NATO traveled to the Provincial Police Office to Meet and Greet the Provincial Director of Cavite PPO, PCOL ELEUTERIO M RICARDO JR. The speech given by the Provincial Director, to remind us that to be careful and to be attentive to the immersion to learn and apply them in the future, another is to empty our cup to absorb the learnings during the immersion phase.
