DAY 3 OF MDL: BALITENIANS LEARN FROM HOME

BALITE I ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | AUGUST 20, 2026

On the third day of Modular Distance Learning (MDL), learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 of Balite I Elementary School once again took on their lessons from home as face-to-face classes remained suspended due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Teachers prepared and provided Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) for learners across all grade levels. From the youngest pupils in Kindergarten to the Grade 6 learners, each worked on activities suited to their lessons and abilities, with parents and guardians providing support along the way.

The third day of MDL showed how learners and families have adjusted to a different learning routine. Homes became temporary learning spaces where children read, wrote, answered activities, and worked through their lessons with the guidance of their teachers and families.

Teachers continued to monitor and assist their learners, while School Principal Ma’am Maylene D. Ferran supervised the implementation of MDL and the delivery of learning activities across the grade levels.

Although the school grounds remained quiet, learning was still happening in homes throughout the community.

FROM SCHOOL TO HOME: BALITE I LEARNERS SHIFT TO MDL

BALITE I ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | AUGUST 19, 2026

Kinder to Grade 6 Learners Take on Home-Based Lessons

With face-to-face classes suspended because of unfavorable weather conditions, learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 of DepEd Balite I Elementary School shifted to Modular Distance Learning (MDL) on August 19, 2026.

Learning did not stop with the temporary closure of classrooms. Teachers prepared and distributed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) suited to the lessons and learning needs of their respective grade levels. From the youngest learners in Kindergarten to the graduating learners in Grade 6, pupils worked on their assigned activities from home with the assistance of their parents or guardians.

The home-based setup also gave learners an opportunity to practice responsibility and independence as they managed their schoolwork outside the usual classroom environment. Teachers continued to provide guidance and monitor their learners’ progress despite the distance.

The implementation of MDL was carried out under the supervision of School Principal Ma’am Maylene D. Ferran, ensuring that learning activities across all grade levels remained organized and responsive to the situation.

While the school grounds were temporarily quiet, homes across the community became spaces for reading, writing, answering activities, and discovering new ideas.

For the Balite I learners, a change of learning place became another opportunity to keep growing.
