2-DAY INSET 2026:
STRENGTHENING EXCELLENCE TOGETHER

This September 10–11, 2026, the dedicated teaching force of Munting Ilog Elementary School gathered for the conduct of School Based In-Service Training (INSET) fully aligned with DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2026: Guidelines on the Implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar in Basic Education for School Year 2026–2027.

With the new 3-Term Calendar in place, this Term 1 INSET brought us together not just to fulfill a mandate, but to grow together, learn together and prepare together because every improvement we make begins with us, the teachers. Over these two meaningful days, our sessions centered on key pillars that directly uplift teaching and learning for every Muntinian learner:

✅ Integrating Assessment — Designing checks for understanding that guide, not just grade
✅ Maximizing Learning Resources — Making every material count in and beyond the classroom
✅ Deepening 2C2IR — Cultivating Critical Thinking, Communication, Innovation, Creativity and Resilience in our learners
✅ Upholding Professional Ethics — Reminding ourselves that our character is as powerful as our curriculum
✅ ILAW IN ACTION: Explicit Instruction — Mastering the art of clear, intentional and effective lesson delivery that leaves no one behind

From lively discussions to shared lesson planning, from clarifying standards to crafting strategies that fit our learners best, these days were filled with genuine collaboration. We didn’t just listen; we exchanged ideas, solved challenges and lifted one another up. Because when teachers grow, our students shine brighter.

To our school head, Mrs. Teresita C. Amon, for leading with vision and heart — thank you for creating the space for us to learn, reflect, and bond as one team. To every teacher who showed up with enthusiasm, openness and dedication, this is why MIES stands strong.

This training doesn’t end here. What we have learned are the strategies, the renewed purpose, the commitment to explicit, effective instruction will light up our classrooms starting day one of Term 2. PAARALANG ELEMENTARYA NG MUNTING ILOG
NAKIISA SA IKATLONG KWARTER NG PAMBANSANG
SABAYANG PAGSASANAY SA LINDOL (NSED) 2026

Kahit na kinansela ang pagpasok ng mga mag-aaral at kawani sa buong lalawigan ng Cavite bunsod ng patuloy na pag-ulan at banta ng masamang panahong dulot ng Habagat, hindi ito naging hadlang sa Paaralang Elementarya ng Munting Ilog upang makibahagi nang buong puso sa Ikatlong Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) ngayong araw! 🕐

Sa ganap na ala-una ng hapon, nagsimula ang pambansang programa sa pamamagitan ng pormal na pagpindot sa button na pinangunahan ng mga tanggapan ng Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) sa iba’t ibang rehiyon, katuwang ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, ahensya ng gobyerno at iba’t ibang sektor ng lipunan. Ang buong paglulunsad ay nasaksihan sa pamamagitan ng direktang pagsasahimpapawid sa mga page ng Civil Defense PH at NDRRMC.

Sa halip na magtipon sa loob ng paaralan, naganap ang pagsasanay sa bawat tahanan ng mga mag-aaral, g**o at kawani. Mula sa kanilang mga tahanan, sabay-sabay nilang isinagawa ang tamang hakbang: Dumapa, Magtago, at Kumapit (Drop, Cover and Hold) — ang mga simpleng kilos na maaaring magligtas ng buhay sa oras ng panganib.

Ipinapakita nito na ang kahandaan ay hindi nakadepende lamang sa pagiging nasa loob ng silid-aralan o bakuran ng paaralan. Ang tunay na kahandaan ay nasa isip, nasa puso, at isinasagawa saanman tayo naroroon, sa paaralan man, sa lansangan o sa sarili nating tahanan. Ang lindol ay walang pinipiling oras, walang pinipiling lugar, at walang pinipiling tao kaya’t ang pagiging handa ay dapat laging taglay ng bawat isa.

Lubos ang ating pasasalamat sa ating mga g**o, magulang, tagapangalaga at sa bawat pamilyang Muntinians sa pagtugon at pakikilahok. Ang inyong pakikibahagi ay patunay na kapag ang layunin ay kaligtasan ng bawat isa, walang balakid ang makapipigil sa atin. Ang pagiging handa ay hindi lamang tungkulin, ito ay pagmamahal sa sarili, sa pamilya at sa bayan. Tandaan natin: “Sa bawat segundo ng kahandaan, may buhay na naililigtas.”

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 10

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
