On January 29, 2023, PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla showed their participation in the community by joining a FUN RUN-FOR-A-CAUSE organized by Bauan Technical Integrated Highschool as part of their 28th Founding Anniversary Celebration.

Running is good for the mind, body, and spirit and it becomes truly worthwhile when you run to support a good purpose. The activity did not only benefit the chosen beneficiary of the proceeds but the runners as well.

LOOK: Prison Ministry for detainees under custody of Bauan MPS

On January 27, 2023, PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla joined the prison ministry for detainees under the custody of Bauan MPS. Most of the detainees were held for drug-related offenses. The activity was conducted by Bauan Municipal Advisory Group aiming to give hope and restore faith of the detainees despite their situation.

LOOK: PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla, under the direct supervision of PMAJ Allan Avena De Castro, OIC, conducted OPLAN SITA, a police operation to check on moving vehicles especially on motorcycles and other suspicious ones.

Patrolling was also conducted in the areas of Bauan Municipality. This type of police operation is conducted to deny opportunities to commit crimes, and reduce the risk of citizens becoming crime victims. It also involves responding to calls for assistance and intervention. Equally important is the establishment of community partnership through developing good rapport between the patrollers and the community in their assigned beat (Managing Patrol Operations Manual, 2015)

After patrolling, police cadets had a talk over a meal with one of the experienced personnel of Bauan MPS. They had the time to share experiences and reflect on matters about policing.

January 25, 2023 at about 9:00am, PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla, together with Bauan MPS personnel, conducted patrolling in areas of Bauan Municipality. Patrolling, as a basic police function, is important in ensuring a community's peace and order.

After patrolling, police cadets rendered courtesy visit to PCOL PEDRO DAUPAN SOLIBA, Provincial Director, Batangas PPO. "As graduating cadets, maging katulong sana namin kayo sa pagbabago." he reiterated.

BAUAN MPS CHECKPOINT OPERATION

At about 9:00pm on January 24, 2023 within the area of Bauan Plaza, Checkpoint Operation was conducted by Bauan MPS personnel with PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla under the supervision of PMAJ Allan Avena De Castro, Officer-in-Charge.

Conduct of Checkpoint Operation is one way to prevent crimes and ensure public safety which is necessary for maintaining/achieving peace and order.

IN PHOTOS: On January 23, 2023, at about 8:00pm in Bauan Plaza, PCDT Monteverde, PCDT Alibania, and PCDT Caudilla joined the conduct of police visibility and foot patrol of personnel of Bauan MPS under the supervision of PMAJ Allan Avena De Castro, Officer in Charge. Police Visibility, especially in crowded places, can prevent street crimes from happening. This can also create a feeling of security to citizens within the area knowing that police are ready to respond when called-upon by a situation.

PCDT MONTEVERDE, PCDT ALIBANIA, and PCDT CAUDILLA conducted Information Drive regarding the PNPA Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) to Senior High School students of Bauan Technical Integrated High School, Bauan, Batangas.

The information drive aims to encourage youth aspirants to apply and become part of the long maroon line. Several attendees showed their interest after the activity for they learned about the step-by-step process in online application, qualifications, and benefits.

Police Cadets attended
Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (SWIM) dubbed as Life Sharing Session (LSS) which is a virtual fellowship program together with values coaches headed by Pastor Manalo as part of the continuous and effective implementation of the KASIMBAYANAN Program.

After the fellowship program, they attended a Videoconferencing Hearing assisted by PNP Personnel of Bauan MPS. Videoconferencing, as defined in Administrative Memorandum (AM) No. 20-12-01 SC, are court hearings and proceedings, including the taking of testimony, conducted through videoconferencing technology, or the use of video, audio, and data transmission devices to allow participants in different physical locations to simultaneously communicate by seeing and hearing each other. It can either be done fully remote when none of the participants is physically present in court or partially remote as when at least one of the participants appears physically in court while the others appear from remote locations.

This procedure is one representation that the adoption of technological innovations in the procedures of public safety and law enforcement has made a great impact on the performance and duty of the PNP.

OPLAN KATOK, formerly known as BALIK ARMAS, is one of the best practices of Batangas PPO which aims to promote responsible gun ownership and to regulate fi****ms. This is done through house to house search of owners of fi****ms with expired licenses. As shown, an owner voluntarily surrendered his gun with an expired license to PSSG ERICK JOHN HOLGADO.

After the operation, cadets joined the bible sharing in Brgy. New Danglayan as part of the KASIMBAYANAN Program of Bauan MPS.
