Below are the few steps to identify a research gap:
✅ Identify the key motivating issue/question
✅ Identify the key terms associated with the issue
✅ Review the literature, searching for these key terms and identifying relevant publications
✅ Review the literature cited by the key publications
✅ Identify issues not addressed by the literature
