Witness the performance of Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) 2A students as they showcase their final performance on fundamental steps in folkdance with the 2/4 time signature at the Tirupunan Hall of the University of Antique (UA) today, October 6, 2026.

Through learning these fundamental steps in traditional folk dance it extends far beyond the memorization of basic footwork, but also by establishing a solid foundation in balance, posture, and musicality that dancers can accurately communicate the rich traditions, narratives, and expressions of a culture with professional grace.

Witness the performance of Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) 2A students as they showcase the folk dance of Salidsid today, September 15, 2026, at the New AVR of the University of Antique (UA).

This interesting festival dance is popular in Caluya, Antique. This dance is usually performed in big social gatherings like the inaugural ball in honor of the elected town officials or during fiestas in honor of the patron saint.

Learning this dance gave us a deeper appreciation for our local culture. Every step and beat reminds us of our roots and the importance of preserving our traditions with pride.

Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) 2A successfully concluded its first classroom meeting, led by their classroom mayor, Mr. Alvin G. Malunes, together with the classroom officers, at the New AVR of the University of Antique this morning, September 9, 2026.

The meeting focused on discussing and finalizing the classroom equipment and materials needed for the class, with decisions made through the agreement and participation of everyone. The class also discussed plans for their batch T-shirt, which will be implemented at a later date.

The meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative and organized journey for BPED 2A as they continue to work together toward a productive and united academic year.
