Bringing together the members of University of Antique’s joint council, the Joint Academic, Administrative, and Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI) Council convened for its 3rd Quarter Council Meeting for FY 2026 at the UA Tario-Lim Memorial Campus (TLMC), August 27.

The meeting serves as a venue for the Council to discuss pressing institutional concerns, align priorities, and strengthen collaborative efforts toward more responsive and efficient services across the UA System.

The newly elected Alumni Association Officers of the Main Campus officially took their oath of office today, August 25, 2026, with UA President Dr. Godelyn G. Hisole serving as the inducting officer at the Board Conference Room.

Also present during the oathtaking ceremony were Atty. Elizabeth Abasquez Felasol of the UA Legal Unit, Prof. Mahalia D. Denosta, Director of the Alumni Affairs Unit, Prof. Shecky Mae Villavert, Director of the External Affairs Unit, Mr. Evaristo Villaflor, Board Secretary, the former Alumni Association Officers, and members of the Commission on Election.

Congratulations to the 15 newly elected Board of Directors of the University of Antique (UA) Main Campus Alumni Association!

The election transpired during the Alumni General Assembly held on August 23, 2026 at the Tiripunan Hall, with over 400 registered participants.

The activity began with the revisitation of the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) and proceeded with the main campus’ Alumni President’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, and the presentation and election of the Alumni Board of Directors (BOD).

Out of 29 official candidates, the following garnered the highest number votes and were elected to serve as members of the Alumni Board of Directors:

The University of Antique welcomes the Batch 2 of Class TIBAY from the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Industrial Technology, and College of Teacher Education, through Sugalaw 2026, August 24.

In her message, UA President Dr. Godelyn G. Hisole encouraged the students to practice the right attitudes and values, choose the right friends, and make relevant and responsible choices as they begin their journey at UA.

“College is not about perfection; it is about becoming better, one lesson and one experience at a time,” she added, highlighting UA’s role not only as an institution that provides free higher education but also as a venue for the holistic transformation and development of its students.

This year’s Sugalaw was organized by the UA Student Government and Future Leaders of the Philippines, with the participation of the UA administration, faculty, and staff, who came together as one in welcoming the freshies and continuing students to the new academic year.
