𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 | The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 proudly and wholeheartedly joins in celebrating the birthday of one of the esteemed pillars of our Maritime community, a dedicated instructor, an inspiring leader, and the former 𝗖𝗠𝗦 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 for Academic Year 2006–2007, 𝗖/𝗘 𝗘𝗱𝗰𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗿𝗶𝘁.

His journey is more than a chapter written in the history of the College of Maritime Studies, it is a living testament to a legacy built upon leadership, service, discipline, and an unwavering love for his beloved alma mater. Long before he stood before classrooms to guide aspiring seafarers, he had already answered the call to serve his fellow Marinos, leaving footprints that continue to echo across the hallways of our institution and the hearts of those who follow in his steps.

As the former Governor of the College of Maritime Studies, he stood as a steadfast pillar of order, discipline, and camaraderie, helping steer the community of all Marinong KasUbays toward a stronger and more united horizon. Today, as an instructor, he continues to illuminate the path of future maritime professionals, sharing not only knowledge from books and the sea but also the values that shape a true mariner.

Indeed, time may carry us toward different shores, but the spirit of a Marino never truly leaves the vessel from which it once sailed. Once a Marino, always a Marino.

Bamb𝗨h𝗔y! Mga 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗔𝗬!

A new voyage officially began!

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 welcomed its newest batch of First-Year Marinong KasUbAys as they stepped aboard their first day with the Maritime orientation. A day filled with new faces, new connections, and the first glimpse of the vast maritime world that awaits them.

From meeting their fellow cadets and getting acquainted with the CMS Maritime Instructors, our first-years were given valuable insights into the life of a mariner and the discipline, responsibility, perseverance, and professionalism that come with choosing a career at sea.

The orientation also became a moment of introduction to the people and organizations that will guide them throughout their journey. The incoming cadets were introduced to the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘀 (OCC), from the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 to the 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, who stand as fellow cadets and leaders within the maritime community. The First-Year Marinong KasUbAys were also introduced to the dedicated officers of the 𝗖𝗠𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, the student leaders who represent, serve, and help steer the growing CMS community toward greater horizons.

Our Freshmen were also welcomed into the world of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗱𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘆, the official publication of the College of Maritime Studies, where stories, voices, achievements, and memories of the maritime community find their course.

It was more than just an orientation.
It was the first muster, the first briefing, and the first bearing taken toward a journey that will demand courage, discipline, knowledge, and heart.

To our Freshies, your voyage has officially begun.
Find your bearing. Know your course. Trust your crew.

𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗗𝗘, 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 | 𝗦𝗨𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗪 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

There are moments when a university feels like more than just a campus, it becomes a living, breathing community. And in Sugalaw 2026, the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 came alive in the most vibrant way possible.

Different colleges. Different colors. Different identities. Different roars.

Yet, when the music played and the cheers echoed across the grounds, every color became part of one magnificent canvas: the 𝗨𝗔ean spirit.

The roar of every department thundered through the air, carrying the pride of every student who stood beneath their college colors. From the loudest yells to the brightest banners, from every synchronized step to every spontaneous cheer, Sugalaw became a celebration of unity in diversity.

It was never about whose color shone the brightest.

It was about how every color, when brought together, made the University of Antique shine even brighter.

For one unforgettable celebration, we weren't merely students from different colleges.

We were one UA. One family. One spirit. One roaring community.

And as the colors waved and the voices rose, Sugalaw reminded us of something beautiful:

Different colleges may sail under different colors, but we all belong to the same university.

As Sugalaw 2026 came to an end, the College of Maritime Studies was able to bag a bounty of awards, proving that the Marinong KasUbAys came to Sugalaw not just to participate, but to make waves and leave a mark!

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 proudly 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, with the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗨𝗯𝗔𝘆𝘀 showing their discipline, confidence, energy, and unity throughout the celebration: 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 — 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗧-𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗧-𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 — 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲,

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 was illuminated by the vibrant colors, thunderous cheers, and deafening roar of the newest members of the ever-growing KasUbAy family. As students from different colleges gathered together, bringing with them their own colors, identities, dreams, and unwavering pride, the entire university seemed to come alive.

Every corner echoed with laughter, chants, applause, and the unmistakable energy of students ready to begin another chapter of their journey. From one college to another, different uniforms, banners, and voices blended into one magnificent spectacle.

For a moment, the University of Antique was more than just a campus. It became a sea of colors, a symphony of voices, and a home filled with countless stories waiting to unfold.

But one KasUbAy family!

A proud day for the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 and the entire 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆!

The College of Maritime Studies has once again emerged victorious, successfully passing the 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 for both the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (BSMT) and 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (BSMar-E) programs.

This achievement is more than just a mark on a compliance report. It is a reflection of years of dedication, preparation, discipline, and commitment to maritime excellence.

Behind every standard met are classrooms prepared for learning, laboratories equipped for training, systems strengthened through continuous improvement, faculty and staff committed to quality, and students being molded to meet the responsibilities of the maritime profession.

For our future mariners, this means more than simply earning a degree. It means being trained in an environment where competence, safety, discipline, integrity, and professional excellence remain at the heart of maritime education.

But while the next audit may be two years away, our voyage toward excellence continues today.

Because in maritime education, compliance is not the destination; it is the backbone that keeps us on course and at the top!

To our administrators, faculty, staff, and especially our maritime students, this achievement belongs to all of you. Together, you have shown that from a state university in Antique, we can meet the standards of the maritime world and prepare young cadets and cadettes to navigate beyond our shores.

The waters ahead may be vast, and the voyage may not always be easy. But with competence as our compass, discipline as our helm, integrity as our guiding light, and excellence as our anchor, there will always be a horizon worth pursuing.

This is more than just a victory; it is a rebirth of hope for all the young Filipinos who aspire to sail upon the vast oceans of our world!
