This September 30, we celebrate International Translation Day and honor the language professionals who help bring people, cultures, and ideas closer through the power of language.

Through their work, ideas are shared, stories are understood, and voices are heard across languages and cultures. Every translated word carries more than meaningโ€”it builds bridges of communication, fosters understanding, and brings us closer to one another.

With this pause from our usual school routines, we encourage everyone to take this time to go home, share a meal, and spend meaningful moments with your family. ๐Ÿซถ

The last week of September of every year is declared as Family Week pursuant to Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992), while the fourth Monday of September is declared โ€œKainang Pamilya Mahalagaโ€ Day pursuant to Proclamation No. 326 (s. 2012).

In line with this observance, classes and office operations in the University of Antique System will be suspended in the afternoon of Monday, September 28, 2026. This is to provide students and employees an opportunity to spend meaningful time with their families and celebrate the 34th National Family Week.
