KICKED OFF ASEAN MONTH IN STYLE!

Earlier today, we officially launched ASEAN Month 2026 with an incredible Kick-off Ceremony! Our university community gathered to celebrate the rich culture, diversity, and vibrant spirit of Southeast Asia.

To top it all off, the opening program was followed by a stunning ASEAN Fashion Showcase, featuring incredible looks and cultural wear from across the region!

BUILDING BRIDGES IN ARTS & SCIENCES

In its continuous drive to expand global horizons, the University of Antique (UA) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), held a virtual exploratory meeting with Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU), India.

This virtual session centered on creating cross-border opportunities for both institutions, with a focus on collaborative research, faculty exchange, and joint academic programs. By partnering with DBUU, one of Northern India's leading institutions for industry-oriented higher education UA-CAS takes another stride toward providing quality instruction that meets international benchmarks.

Connecting Borders: UA and Universitas Brawijaya Forge Paths for Academic Collaboration

Pushing its global engagement efforts forward, the University of Antique (UA) held an exploratory meeting with Universitas Brawijaya (UB) of Malang, Indonesia, on July 21, 2026, to discuss potential academic and institutional collaborations.

The virtual discussion focused on expanding internationalization efforts for both institutions, mapping out shared priorities in joint research projects, student and faculty mobility programs, cross-cultural exchanges, and academic capacity building.

During the meeting, representatives from both universities highlighted how their respective strengths could complement one another—particularly in fields such as agricultural science, marine studies, engineering, and sustainable development.

Both institutions expressed strong optimism about formalizing their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the coming months, paving the way for active academic mobility and collaborative research publications.

UA Boosts Global Academic Synergy at ‘Kapit-Bisig 2026’ Plenary and Training Workshop

In a solid step toward expanding its global academic footprint, the University of Antique (UA) participated in the Kapit-Bisig 2026: Plenary Session and Foundational Training Workshop on Internationalization (IZN) in Higher Education, held at the SMX Convention Center Clark, Pampanga on July 13–14, 2026.

Representing the university were Prof. Mark Joseph T. Reyes, the Internationalization Coordinator for the College of Teacher Education (CTE) at the UA-Main Campus, and Prof. Jun Kevin S. Pedrosa, the Internationalization Coordinator for the UA-Hamtic Campus.

The two-day intensive gathering served as a collaborative hub for higher education leaders, International Relations Officers (IROs), IZN Focal Persons, and academic professionals from all over the country. Designed to empower Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with robust operational frameworks, the workshop focused on elevating local academic programs to align with global standards.

With these fresh strategic insights, UA is ready to roll out even stronger international initiatives and cross-border opportunities for our Kasubays!
