Dear Parents and Learners of Sta. Rita Academy, Inc.,

In accordance with the declaration of Mayor Gian Carlo F. Occeรฑa, face-to-face classes from Pre-School to Senior High School, in both public and private schools within the Municipality of Sibalom, are suspended on Friday, August 7, 2026, due to the heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), enhanced by Tropical Depression Maymay.

The safety and well-being of our learners and the entire school community remain our highest priority. We encourage everyone to stay indoors whenever possible, take the necessary precautions, and continue monitoring official announcements.

As an Assumption school, we believe that every day is an opportunity to learn. We encourage our learners to spend this day reading books, reviewing previous lessons, practicing their skills, or enjoying educational activities with their families. With deep trust in the Lord, we share the passing on to fuller life of our dear Sr. Maxima Eugenia de la Sainte Vierge, r.a., on July 15, 2026.

We thank God for the gift of her life and for her 60 years of faithful consecration in the Religious of the Assumption.

Her wake will begin today, July 15, at 12:00 noon at Assumption San Lorenzo.

The Funeral Mass will be on July 16 at 9:00 a.m. at Assumption Antipolo, followed by the interment.

We ask for your communion of prayers for Sr. Maximaโ€™s eternal rest, and for the Emmaus Community and her family at this time.
