The Karay-a Folklore Society spearheads Brainyrayan 3.0 at the University of Antique Hostel on December 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Chuck Dela Cruz, who took his MA in development and security at the Develoment Academy of the Philippines shall talk about LGU policy interventions using folklore and the Binirayan story as cultural lens; UA history professor Edbert Jay Cabrillos speculates on probably another explanation on how Panay got its name. The highlight of the confab is a panel discussion on the neverending controversy surrounding the Maragtas folklore to be participated in, among others, by Fr. Lius Ysulat, Bernie Salcedo, Jonathan de Gracia, Rich Pagunsan, Ellen Tordesillas, and moderated by Alex C Delos Santos.
Brainyrayan is a casual conference organized in 2019, aiming to foster discourses on Antique arts, culture, and history.
