Indeed, Pasundayag kang mga Talento 2024 was a showcase of expression of emotions through creations. From the passionate body movements and melodic musical performances to the colorful and intricate combination of patterns, colors, and figures, the culminating activity of the Art Appreciation course (GEC 6) was a success. Highlighting the Antiqueño identity, this semester’s activity showcased Original Kinaray-a Music (OKM) songs and dances for the Performance Arts aspect. On the other hand, Visual Arts made use of kuron and banig as the canvass, testing the artists’ creativity in using such uncommon canvasses to paint on. Nonetheless, these unconventional media did not pose as a challenge to the creative minds of the students. The Art Exhibit features various colorful subjects that was aa feast for the eyes.
We are extending our gratitude to all of the students that have put in so much effort in their performances making the afternoon lively with their various interpretations of different OKM songs and dances, as well as to the students who have submitted creative ways of painting on kuron and banig making the art exhibit such a wonderful sight to witness.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mikhael Jeff L. Estores, MASS, for the continued support to the activity, to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Cecilia O. Salvilla, DRDev., for empowering is in pursuing this activity, and to Dr. Pablo S. Crespo, Jr., for the continued support of the University to the activities that empower the creativity of its learners.
