‎Ang Tagen Elementary School ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Katutubo, ating kilalanin, igalang, at ipagdiwang ang mahalagang ambag ng mga Katutubo sa ating lipunan. Ang kanilang kultura, wika, tradisyon, sining, paniniwala, katutubong kaalaman, at mga kaugaliang minana sa ating mga ninuno ay mahalagang bahagi ng pagkakakilanlan at kasaysayan ng ating bansa.

‎Ang mga Katutubo ay hindi lamang tagapag-ingat ng mga tradisyon ng nakaraan—sila rin ay mahalagang katuwang sa paghubog ng mas makatarungan, makabuluhan, at makulay na kinabukasan. Ang kanilang kaalaman tungkol sa kalikasan, pamayanan, kabuhayan, at tradisyunal na paraan ng pamumuhay ay mga yaman na dapat kilalanin, protektahan, at ipasa sa susunod na henerasyon.

‎Sa paaralan at sa ating mga pamayanan, mahalagang isulong ang paggalang sa pagkakaiba-iba, pagkakapantay-pantay, at karapatan ng mga Katutubo.Bigyang-halaga natin ang kanilang tinig, pagkakakilanlan, at karapatan na mapanatili ang kanilang kultura at tradisyon.

Despite the challenges brought by the recent disaster, learning continues at Tagen Elementary School 129071 as face-to-face classes officially resume. With resilience, courage, and hope, our learners are back in school, proving that education remains a priority even in times of adversity.

To strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety, the school also conducted an Earthquake Drill to equip learners, teachers, and school personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies. Through regular drills and preparedness activities, we aim to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.

The Sarangani District informs all school heads, teachers, parents, learners, and stakeholders that, pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 92, s. 2026, issued by Provincial Governor Atty. Franklin P. Bautista on August 1, 2026, all public and private schools in the Province of Davao Occidental are hereby authorized to resume full face-to-face classes, effective immediately.

The resumption of regular in-person classes shall be implemented only in school buildings and learning facilities that have been declared structurally safe and cleared for occupancy by the appropriate authorities.

As we welcome our learners back to the classroom, all schools in Sarangani District are enjoined to continue implementing disaster preparedness and safety measures, including conducting regular earthquake and evacuation drills, maintaining updated emergency response plans, and continuously monitoring aftershocks and other potential hazards to ensure the safety and well-being of the entire school community.

Together, let us continue to uphold a safe, resilient, and learner-centered learning environment as we move forward in delivering quality basic education to every learner in Sarangani District.

Learning Continuity Amidst the June 8, 2026 Earthquake

Following the lifting of the Provincial Memorandum No. 79,series 2026 and unnumbered Schools Division Office memorandum of DepEd Davao Occidental suspension of classes dated July 10,2026, Tagen Elementary School 129071 resumed learning activities spearheaded by the school head,Sir Josal A. Antonio ,after ensuring that learners received psychosocial support through a series of interventions conducted by various non-government organizations (NGOs) and partner agencies. These initiatives helped address the emotional and psychological needs of learners who were affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the Balut Island,Municipality of Sarangani,Province of Davao Occidental on June 8, 2026.

To sustain learning while prioritizing the safety and well-being of learners, the school implemented the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) through modular learning. This flexible learning approach enabled learners to continue their education despite the ongoing challenges brought about by the disaster.

As part of the Opening Block for the Third Term of the School Calendar, Tagen Elementary School conducted a Reading Assessment, Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA), Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI), and Nutritional Status Assessment. These assessments established baseline data on learners' literacy, numeracy, reading proficiency, and nutritional condition, enabling teachers to identify learning gaps and provide appropriate interventions and support.

Despite the significant impact of the June 8, 2026 earthquake on the school and the entire community, Tagen Elementary School remained steadfast in its commitment to ensuring learning continuity and learner recovery. Through the dedication of teachers, the support of parents, local government units, non-government organizations, and other stakeholders, the school continues to provide quality, inclusive, and resilient basic education, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to recover, learn, and thrive.
