NOTICE | RESUMPTION OF CLASSES AND WORK

The Municipality of Sarangani announces the resumption of classes at all levels and work in all offices within the municipality effective August 10, 2026 (Monday).

This follows the lifting of the suspension implemented after the magnitude 7.1 earthquake experienced on August 5, 2026.

All concerned offices, school administrators, teachers, personnel, and barangay officials are reminded to continue observing proper earthquake preparedness, safety, and emergency response measures.

Residents, particularly those in coastal areas, are also advised to remain vigilant and immediately report any unusual sea-level changes or other hazards to the proper authorities.

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES & WORK IN SARANGANI

For the information and guidance of everyone:

By virtue of Memorandum Order No. 03, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the Municipal Mayor, classes in all levels (Elementary & High School) and work in all National, Local, and Barangay Offices in the Municipality of Sarangani are SUSPENDED effective 1:00 PM today, August 5, 2026, until further notice.

This measure is in response to the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that affected the municipality at around 12:13 PM.

Residents, especially those in coastal areas, are strongly advised to remain vigilant, monitor any unusual changes in sea level, and immediately proceed to higher ground if necessary due to the possible threat of a tsunami.

The LGU, through the MDRRMC and concerned agencies, is continuously monitoring the situation and conducting necessary response and assessment activities.

Please stay calm, stay alert, and follow only official advisories from the Municipality of Sarangani.

Last June 8, 2026, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, resulting in the suspension of classes. On July 10, 2026, the Office of the Governor officially lifted the class suspension and directed schools to implement the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

In response, Laker Elementary School has implemented the Alternative Delivery Modality (ADM) through modular learning to ensure the continuity of education and provide uninterrupted learning opportunities for all learners during the recovery period.

To all our parents, stakeholders, teachers, and most especially our learners, thank you for your unwavering support, cooperation, and resilience. Together, we can overcome this challenge and continue learning despite the difficulties.

Ang Laker Elementary School mainiton nga naga-awhag sa tanang ginikanan, alumni, stakeholders, boluntaryo, ug mga miyembro sa komunidad nga moapil sa Brigada Eskwela 2026 sugod karong adlawa Hunyo 1, 2026 hangtod Hunyo 5, 2026 (Biyernes).

Maghiusa kita sa pag-andam sa usa ka limpyo, luwas, mahigalaon sa mga magtutungha, ug makapadasig nga palibot sa pagkat-on alang sa atong mga minahal nga estudyante pinaagi sa espiritu sa bayanihan.

Andam usab kaming mudawat sa bisan unsang matang sa donasyon alang sa kaayohan sa atong mga magtutungha. Mahimong kini mga school supplies, materyales sa pagpanglimpyo, gamit sa pag-ayo ug pagpintal sa eskwelahan, mga tanom, pagkaon ug ilimnon alang sa mga boluntaryo, o bisan unsang suporta nga makatabang sa pag-andam sa atong eskwelahan alang sa umaabot nga tuig sa pagkat-on. Walay gamay nga tabang kung kini gihalad uban sa kasingkasing ug pagpakabana alang sa atong mga kabataan.

Ang inyong panahon, kusog, talento, ug pagkamanggihatagon maoy dakong tabang sa paghimo og mas maayo, mas luwas, ug mas malinawon nga palibot sa pag-eskwela alang sa atong mga estudyante.

Magtinabangay kita alang sa kalampusan sa atong mga estudyante ug sa padayong kalamboan sa Laker Elementary School.
