Ending as a Beginning: Mabila Central Elementary School (MCES) Concludes the Year with a Meaningful General Assembly

March 27, 2026- The school community of MCES gathered for the End-of-School-Year General Assembly, marking not just the conclusion of another academic journey but also the beginning of a new chapter under new leadership. Students, teachers, and parents filled the venue with a mix of reflection and anticipation, as the event highlighted the achievements of the past year while formally introducing the new school head, Editha O. Luarez. Her appointment signals a renewed commitment to strengthening school programs and fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

A significant part of the assembly focused on important policies aimed at enhancing student safety and discipline. School officials emphasized that learners are no longer allowed to go outside the campus during recess. Instead, students are encouraged to bring their own baon upon entering the school or purchase food from the school canteen. This measure ensures that all learners remain within a safe and supervised environment throughout the school day. In addition, only authorized motor vehicles belonging to school faculty will be allowed to enter the campus to improve visibility and reduce risks for both learners, staff, and stakeholders.

The assembly also featured the presentation of PTA reports by PTA President Chairly L. Cejas, who provided updates on projects, financial matters, and accomplishments of the organization. The report highlighted the importance of transparency and strong collaboration between parents and the school in supporting learners’ development.

As the program came to a close, the event reflected both an ending and a beginning. The introduction of new leadership and reinforced policies sets a clear path forward. With unity among stakeholders and a shared vision, MCES community looks ahead with optimism and readiness for the challenges and opportunities of the coming academic year.

A New Chapter Begins at Mabila Central Elementary School (MCES).

March 16, 2026 – Mrs. Editha O. Luarez officially assumed her role as the new School Head of MCES, marking her first day with key leadership engagements.

She attended the flag ceremony and was formally introduced to the learners, where she delivered a brief message highlighting the importance of discipline, cleanliness, respect, and academic excellence.

Subsequently, she convened her first meeting along with Mrs. Helen M. Arnado, MCES Assistant Principal, with the teaching personnel to discuss end-of-school-year updates, including the completion of academic requirements, submission of reports, and other essential school activities. School policies and guidelines were also reiterated to ensure alignment with DepEd standards.

The activity signified a strong start to her leadership, promoting collaboration, accountability, and commitment to quality education.

Leadership Transition

Outgoing Principal Jovelie C. Branzuela Honored as Incoming School Head Editha O. Luarez Takes the Helm

Mabila Central Elementary School (MCES) marked a significant milestone at 1:00 in the afternoon on March 12, 2026, as the school community gathered to celebrate the “Leadership Transition Send-off and Turnover Ceremony” of its outgoing and incoming school heads. The event honored outgoing School Head Jovelie C. Branzuela, School Principal I, and welcomed Incoming School Head Editha O. Luarez, marking a new chapter in the school’s journey toward excellence.

During her three-year tenure from December 06, 2022 to March 15, 2026, Principal Branzuela led MCES with strength, transparency, and a project-oriented approach. Her leadership fostered professional growth among teachers, resulting in promotions for most of the teaching force, including four educators elevated to Master Teacher I. Students, teachers, and parents lauded her dedication,
compassion, and unwavering commitment to quality education.
The send-off ceremony highlighted Branzuela’s accomplishments and contributions to the school community. “It has been an honor to serve this school and witness the growth of our students and teachers,” Branzuela said. “I am confident that the school will continue to thrive under new leadership.”

Incoming School Head Editha O. Luarez was warmly welcomed during the turnover, receiving symbolic handovers of responsibilities and key programs. Luarez expressed gratitude and optimism, promising to continue building on the strong foundation laid by her predecessor. “It is our journey. Every voice matter,” she said.

The event also included messages of appreciation from the Honorable Municipal Mayor Adelan B. De Arce, Public Schools District Supervisor Jefrey B. Bagongon, Parents Teacher Association President Chairly L. Cejas, Barangay Officials representative, teachers, students, and parents, recognizing Branzuela’s impactful leadership and pledging support for Luarez’s vision. Classroom displays, student performances, and project presentations reflected the school’s project-oriented culture, highlighting ongoing initiatives that enrich learning experiences.

Through this Leadership Transition Send-off and Turnover Ceremony, MCES reaffirmed its commitment to quality education, transparency, and community collaboration, ensuring a seamless transition while honoring the legacy of Principal Branzuela and embracing the promise of the new school head.

On the other hand, Helen M. Arnado, Principal I, also introduced as Assistant to the Principal of MCES.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic turnover of a school key, marking a new chapter of leadership, vision, and dedication at MCES.

MCES SPOTLIGHT ✨

Beneficiary of the Project: Provision of Internet Access via Low Earth Orbit Satellites (PIALEOS).

The Mabila Central Elementary School (MCES) is proud to be one of the beneficiary schools of the Project: Provision of Internet Access via Low Earth Orbit Satellites (PIALEOS), an initiative aimed at delivering reliable internet connectivity to geographically isolated and disadvantaged public schools.

The project is implemented in accordance with Republic Act No. 10929, also known as the Free Internet Access in Public Places Act, which mandates the provision of free internet access in public places and institutions including public schools.

Through satellite-powered connectivity, MCES now has improved access to digital learning platforms, online educational resources, and virtual training opportunities for teachers. This development strengthens technology-assisted instruction, enhances communication with education stakeholders, and supports innovative teaching practices.

The successful implementation of PIALEOS at MCES marks a significant milestone in promoting digital inclusion and bridging the connectivity gap in remote communities empowering both learners and educators toward greater academic success.
