Sara National High School Holds First Flag-Raising Ceremony for SY 2026-2027
Spearheaded by the Teachers and Staff Associations (TASA), the first flag-raising ceremony for the school year 2026-2076 conducted at Sara National High School (SNHS) grounds on June 8, 2026.
The ceremony commenced with the prayer, led by Jessa Son, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, conducted by Arlyn Dela Torre, followed by Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Harvie Garcia, Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan led by Crisel Doyo, Panatang Makabayan by Gretchen Abaรฑera, and the singing of Bagong Pilipinas and the SNHS Hymn, conducted by Angelique Jane Veloso, and was emceed by Josie Salvie Perez.
Meanwhile, School Head Jun Victor F. Bactan, Principal IV, reminded the students of the school mantra, โBE BETTER, BE BEST.โ โLearners, be better starting today, and make your best bettier,โ Sir Bactan said.
The flag ceremony is an important school activity, usually held every Monday morning, to honor the national flag and promote patriotism among students. The practice reflects respect for the countryโs symbols and helps develop national pride and civic responsibility.
The conduct of flag ceremonies is guided by Republic Act No. 8491 and the Department of Education policies.
