📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY

Rizal National High School informs all parents, students, stakeholders, and community members about an upcoming ACTIVE SHOOTING RESPONSE SIMULATION DRILL scheduled for SEPTEMBER 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM. This drill is an essential part of our contingency plan to prepare for Active Attack/Active Shooter incidents.

Objectives of the Simulation:

-Improve the readiness and response capabilities of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching personnel in emergency situations.
-Assess the effectiveness of the school's current emergency response protocols and identify areas for improvement.
-Foster a culture of safety, vigilance, resilience, and preparedness within the school community.

Important Information:

The drill will involve simulated emergency scenarios, including the presence of emergency responders from the Rizal Municipal Police Station (PNP) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO). Their participation is crucial for realistic training and should not cause alarm or panic.

We encourage parents and community members to discuss the drill with students to alleviate any concerns and promote understanding of its importance.

Please Note: This is ONLY A SIMULATION DRILL. We ask for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

In view of Tropical Storm Basyang and the raising of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 over the eastern and central portions of Zamboanga del Norte, classes at all levels are hereby suspended today to ensure the safety of our learners, teachers, and school personnel.

The public is advised to stay alert and continue monitoring official weather updates from PAGASA and the Local Government Unit.
