Just like Peter who stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus, we are reminded to have faith even when life feels uncertain. As students, there will be challenges, failures, and moments when we feel afraid, but we should not let them stop us from moving forward. When we keep our eyes on Jesus and trust in Him, we can find courage even in the middle of every storm.

This Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Grade 10-St. Benedict students gathered for a ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† in their Religion class, facilitated by their subject teacher, Sir Gerald F. Arcangel. They talked about the upcoming Sunday Gospel (๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜„ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฏ:๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐโ€“๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฎ). Through ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น, the students reflected on how Godโ€™s Kingdom is the most precious gift we can have. They learned the importance of truly valuing what is most important in their daily livesโ€”appreciating their blessings, caring for the people around them, and cherishing their families.

This activity is part of the ๐—•๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—˜๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† (๐—•๐—˜๐—–) ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—บ, which is very important because it brings students together as one faithful family. Through BEC, they do not just pray alone, but they learn to listen, share, and support each other like true brothers and sisters in Christ.

As a Catholic school, we want our learners to grow not only in knowledge, but also in love for God. Gatherings like this help them build a strong foundation of faith that they can carry with them wherever they go.
