San Vicente Integrated School (SVIS) successfully conducted its ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ-๐๐š๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž today, providing learners with an opportunity to showcase their journalistic skills and prepare for higher-level campus journalism competitions.

The activity was spearheaded by Mr. Dave S. Paguigan, School Journalism Coordinator, under the guidance and full support of Dr. Preciosa P. Manuel, School Principal.

In his message, Paguigan encouraged the participants to uphold the values of truth, accuracy, fairness, and integrity in every article they write.

"Campus journalism is not only about winning competitions but also about becoming responsible communicators who inform, inspire, and serve the community," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Manuel expressed her appreciation to the teachers and school officials who supported the successful conduct of the activity and encouraged the participants to continue honing their writing skills.

Student-participants competed in various individual events, including news writing, editorial writing, feature writing, sports writing, copyreading and headline writing, photojournalism, and column writing.

The school-based competition aimed to identify outstanding campus journalists who will represent SVIS in the upcoming district-level press conference while fostering critical thinking, responsible communication, and ethical journalism among learners.

With a resounding call to develop not only athletic excellence but also character and teamwork, San Vicente Integrated School (SVIS) officially opened its 2026 Intramurals through an inspiring opening program today, July 11, carrying the theme, "Empowering Learners through Sports: Developing Skills, Shaping Values, and Creating the Future.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the lighting of the ceremonial torch by Patrick Palattao, Silver Medalist in Athletics during the LD Meet 2025, symbolizing the athletes' commitment to excellence, perseverance, and unity.

Student-athletes, coaches, and officials also pledged to uphold fairness and integrity as Jeryboy Delos Santos, LD Qualifier, administered the Oath of Sportsmanship.

The ceremony culminated with Dr. Preciosa P. Manuel, School Principal II, officially declaring the 2026 Intramurals open. In her message, she encouraged learners to embrace teamwork, discipline, and resilience, emphasizing that the true victory in sports lies not only in winning but also in developing character and strengthening unity among learners.

The opening program marked the beginning of the school's annual sporting event, where student-athletes will compete in various events while embodying the values of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and excellence.

Demonstrating its commitment to safety and preparedness, San Vicente Integrated School (SVIS) successfully participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), June 19, 2026.

The activity commenced with the sounding of the alarm signal, prompting participants to perform the proper earthquake safety procedure, โ€œDuck, Cover, and Hold.โ€

Learners and teachers then proceeded to designated evacuation areas in an orderly and safe manner.

The drill aimed to raise awareness on earthquake preparedness and ensure that everyone in the school community is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively during seismic emergencies.

School officials emphasized the importance of regular disaster preparedness activities in promoting a culture of safety and resilience among learners and stakeholders.
