With the event recently concluded, let’s look on to the actions transpired during the Dugayan NHS’ celebration of Kahimunan Festival: National IP Month led by the School IPed Coordinator – Jemaima Fel D. Senia; School Head - Gabriel Angelo G. Dadula, on October 30, 2024.

This year’s Kahimunan Festival aligns with the Department of Education's commitment to Indigenous Peoples (IP) education, as outlined in the National Indigenous Peoples Education Policy Framework (DepEd Order 62, s. 2011). This framework establishes DepEd's dedication to providing culturally responsive education that respects and uplifts IP communities.

The Department’s K-12 MATATAG Program further strengthens this commitment, emphasizing principles such as culture-sensitivity and inclusivity. By organizing events like the Kahimunan Festival, Dugayan NHS not only honors these guiding policies but also actively participates in DepEd’s vision to offer students education that respects and preserves their cultural heritage.

"Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan"

Katuwang ng mga aktibo't masisipag na mga magulang na sakop ng Dugayan National High School ay matagumpay na naisagawa ang pambungad na gawain sa unang araw ng "Brigada Eskwela 2023" Sa mismong paaralan ng Dugayan National High School ng Agosto 14, 2023 ng eksaktong oras ng 9:00 ng umaga ay matiwasay na inialay ang mga kanya-kanyang mga lakas para maisagawa ang unang gawain sa araw na ito.

Sinimulan ito ng matibay na pagbibigay gabay sa mga magulang at oryentasyon na pinanguluhan ni Sir Jonard Abanto na siya ring Brigada School Coordinator. Naging tampok sa unang araw ang mga aktibidad gaya nalang ng agarang pagsasaayos sa makeshifts, pagtanggap ng enrolment, at pagsasagawa ng Phil-Iri Pre-Test para sa reading.

Sa limang araw ng Brigada Eskwela ay inaasahang ang paaralan ay handa na sa araw ng pasukan. Ang unang araw ng naturang aktibidad ng Dugayan National High School ay patunay lamang na namamayani pa rin ang Bayanihan Spirit at magiging tulay ito sa matagumpay na Brigada Eskwela 2023.
