JUST IN | San Fernando NHS primed for ARAL Reading launch following Stakeholder Orientations

San Fernando National High School is poised to commence the implementation of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Reading Program on August 12, 2026. This milestone follows the successful conclusion of a comprehensive, two-day stakeholder orientation series conducted at E-Classroom Building 1, which wrapped up today, August 7, 2026. Spearheaded by School Principal Sir Jun Gongona and the School ARAL Program Coordinator, Ma'am Remy N. Balunso the dual-phase briefings meticulously aligned key stakeholders to ensure a seamless literacy intervention. The inaugural session on August 6 engaged the parents of the 21 selected student beneficiaries, equipping them with actionable methodologies to foster supportive learning environments at home.

Concurrently, today's assembly focused on pedagogical synchronization for the 18-strong tutoring cohort. This specialized team, comprising 12 external volunteer tutors and 6 DepEd/internal volunteer educators, refined lesson delivery strategies and integrated baseline diagnostics with the standardized DepEd literacy curriculum.

The school administration expressed profound commendation for the educators anchoring this intervention. The 12 external volunteers were lauded for altruistically dedicating their time and expertise, while the 6 DepEd/ internal faculty members earned distinction for extending their professional hours to guide the intensive remedial sessions.

With the preparatory phases finalized today, structured ARAL Reading sessions are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, August 12.
