CHURCH NEWS | Pope Leo XIV Accepts Resignation of Urdaneta Bishop, Names Fr Nick Vaquilar as Successor

Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Bishop Jacinto Jose after nearly two decades of service to the Diocese of Urdaneta, and has appointed Fr. Nick Vaquilar as his successor.

The announcement was made on May 3 by Archbishop Charles Brown. Vaquilar, a priest of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia, brings years of experience in seminary formation and biblical theology as he prepares to lead the diocese.
