𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 (CMAMP) successfully held its 2026 Research Colloquium on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 9, 2026, bringing together students, faculty, and researchers in a celebration of academic excellence and innovation. The event highlighted research presentations that showcased evidence-based ideas and solutions relevant to healthcare and the allied medical professions.

Through initiatives like this, CMAMP continues to foster a culture of research, critical thinking, and professional growth among future healthcare leaders.

𝐂𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐮𝐦 2026 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. through its College of Medicine and Allied Medical Programs (CMAMP) held its 2026 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐮𝐦 on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 9, 2026 with the theme “𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆."

Held at the Center for Professional Development Building, the event featured oral, paper, and poster presentations from Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiologic Technology, and Physical Therapy departments.

The panel of evaluators was chaired by Dr. Ralliegh F. Vizcarra, RMT, CBO, PhD, DBA, DPA, DPASMAP, with members Dr. Stephen Rae G. Fontanilla, RPh, PharmD and Dr. John Peter V. Dacanay, RMT MSMT, MSPH, PhD . They assessed entries that highlighted both scientific rigor and relevance to healthcare.
In the 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆, the Best Paper was awarded to Dominic John S. Bolano for “Phenomenologic Study on Occupational Challenges and Coping Mechanisms of Garbage Collectors in Santiago City, Isabela: A Basis for Protocol Development.” First runner‑up went to Glymse Jill C. De Vera for “Bioactivity‑Guided Preformulation of Gmelina arborea Leaves Extract as an Oral Powder for Reconstitution with α‑Amylase and α‑Glucosidase Inhibitory Potential.” Second runner‑up was Edween Leo G. Mateo for “The Relationship Between Menopause‑Related Symptoms and Mobility Limitations: A Cross‑Sectional Study.”
For the 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Bolano’s study again secured the Best Paper award. De Vera’s research earned first runner‑up, while Emelda L. Rigor, with co‑authors Randa Joemyca Yra T., Cabasag Marienel Kaye L., Valentin Jazmine Kaye R., and Viernes Liyan Gale, placed second runner‑up for “Knowledge and Risks Perception Influencing X‑Ray Procedure Hesitancy Among Students at a Philippine Private University.”
In the 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the Best Poster award was given to Dean Angelo G. Ballad, Jonathan Earl G. Ilarde, Mary Anne Krystal D. Naungayan, Sheinelle May Sebastian, and Jeruel Rick Vidad for “Efficacy of Garlic (Allium sativum) Bulb Spray Against Larvae, Pupae, and Adult Life Stages of the House Fly (Musca domestica).” The First Runner‑Up was “Knowledge and Risks Perception Influencing X‑Ray Procedure Hesitancy Among Students at a Philippine Private University” authored by Emelda L. Rigor, Randa Joemyca Yra T., Cabasag Marienel Kaye L., Valentin Jazmine Kaye R., and Viernes Liyan Gale. The Second Runner‑Up went to J. Bala, A. Feliciano, S. Garcia, J. Sardeniola, and J. Yumul for “Comparative Formulation and In Vitro Evaluation of Ginkgo biloba Mucoadhesive Drug Delivery Systems (Buccal Film and Buccal Tablet) and Marketed Formulations.”

The colloquium underscored CMAMP’s dedication to advancing allied health research, providing a platform for students and faculty to present innovative studies that aim to contribute to sustainable and equitable healthcare.
