Today, we honor the dedication, patience, and hard work of educators around the globe.

We also celebrate everyone who has taken on the role of a teacher in different ways, whether in classrooms, homes, workplaces, communities, or ordinary encounters. Every lesson shared and every person guided contributes to a lifetime of learning.

To our Salettinian educators, thank you for carrying the mission of La Salette through your vocation, not only by educating minds, but also by forming hearts and helping transform society.

Happy World Teachersโ€™ Day to all who teach, guide, mentor, and inspire!

Lance Elijah Vergara, Matt David Dela Cruz, and Renz Andrey Ignacio of the Salettinian Debate Society of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) ranked 5th overall and reached the semifinals of the 18th Luzon Intervarsity, a national British Parliamentary debate tournament held on October 3โ€“4 at the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB).

At least 50 debate teams from institutions across the country competed in four elimination rounds, with the top eight teams in the novice category advancing to the semifinals.

This is the first time ULS has qualified for the semifinals of the tournament. In the previous edition of the competition, the Salettinian debaters fell short of a semifinal berth.

โ€œThis major breakthrough is not just an achievement for us as debaters, but also a reflection of the continued support we have received from ULS,โ€ Vergara said. โ€œIt shows that we are able to compete against big universities and stand in the spotlight as a team representing ULS.โ€

The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) held its annual Living Rosary and Community Mass today, October 2, at the ULS New Gymnasium in observance of the Month of the Holy Rosary.

Students from different academic departments represented the beads of the rosary as the university community prayed and reflected on the mysteries of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Following the Living Rosary, Rev. Fr. Joseph Christian M. Pilotin, MS, MA, University Chaplain, presided over the Community Mass.

In his homily, Fr. Pilotin emphasized the Living Rosary as a symbol of unity among the faithful, comparing the university community to the interconnected beads of the rosary.

This October, let us all answer Maryโ€™s call to pray the Rosary for peace in our hearts, our families, and our world. Every prayer is a rose offered to Our Mother, and every mystery brings us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

As Salettinians, let us make praying the Rosary a daily habit.
