The newly elected officers of the 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝙆𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝘽𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 participated in the 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 held yesterday , March 7, 2026, at Patul National High School. This activity marks the beginning of their service as they take part in promoting cleanliness, discipline, and responsibility within the school community.

Sa bawat sulok ng paaralan, may mga tinig na madalas malunod sa ingay ng uso, tukso, at panandaliang aliw. Ngunit sa Organization Expo noong Pebrero 26–27, may mga kabataang humakbang pasulong—hindi upang sumabay sa agos, kundi upang ituwid ang direksiyon. Ang Barkada Kontra Bisyo ay tumindig hindi bilang palabas, kundi bilang paninindigan; hindi bilang dekorasyon ng programa, kundi bilang paalala na may mga kabataang marunong pumili ng tama.

Sa paglalakbay na ito, hindi kami nag-iisa. Buong pagpapakumbaba naming kinikilala ang mahalagang papel ng Sangguniang Kabataan ng Patul, sa pangunguna ni Christian James Valdez, at ang walang kapantay na paggabay ni Sir Aurelio Nicolas, na naging ilaw at gabay ng Barkada Kontra Bisyo sa bawat hakbang. Ang kanyang dedikasyon, pasensya, at paninindigan ay nagbigay-lakas sa aming mga kabataan na ipakita ang tunay na diwa ng samahan—isang barkadahan na nagtutulak sa kabutihan at paglago.

Hindi rin matatawaran ang patuloy na suporta ng aming School Head, Audita W. Cambod, na kasama naming naghubog ng espasyo para sa pamumuno at makabuluhang partisipasyon ng mga mag-aaral.

Ang pakikilahok ng BKB sa expo ay higit pa sa pagpapakita ng pangalan o booth. Ito ay isang malinaw na paninindigan: na ang tunay na barkadahan ay yaong nagtutulak sa bawat isa tungo sa tama, sa pag-unlad, at sa isang mas maliwanag na kinabukasan. Sa gabay ni Sir Aurelio Nicolas, patuloy naming isinusulat ang kuwento ng kabataang may prinsipyo—tahimik man sa simula, ngunit may tapang na baguhin ang wakas.

‼️DOH, KINONDENA ANG PATULOY NA MAPANLINLANG NA MARKETING NG V**E; TOTAL BAN IMINUMUNGKAHI‼️ Matinding pagkondena ang inihayag ng Department of Health sa pagpapatuloy ng mapanlinlang na marketing strategy ng v**e products. Sa pahayag ni DOH Sec. Ted Herbosa kahapon, inihayag ng kalihim na mas mabuting i-ban na ang v**e sa Pilipinas. Madalas na sinasabing walang nikotina at puwedeng alternatibo sa sigarilyo ang v**e, pero ani ng DOH, puno ng kemikal at mapanganib ang usok at ang mismong aparato ng v**e. Makukulay na pakete at iba't ibang flavors din ang nambubudol sa mga kabataan para gumamit nito. Batay sa 2019 Global Youth To***co Survey, isa sa 7 kabataang Pilipino, edad 13 hanggang 15, ang gumagamit ng v**e. Matatandaang noong nakaraang taon lang ay naitala na ang unang kaso ng namatay sa Pilipinas dahil sa dalawang taong paggamit ng v**e. Paalala ng DOH na nakamamatay ang paggamit ng v**e at sigarilyo at nagdudulot ito ng ❗️Cardiovascular disease ❗️Cancer ❗️Lung disease Pinagtitibay rin ng Pilipinas ang pakikiisa nito sa WHO Framework Convention on To***co Control o WHO-FCTC at inihayag na uunahin ang kalusugan ng mga Pilipino kaysa interes ng to***co at v**e industry. Sa WHO FCTC sa Geneva, Switzerland, inihayag ng Pilipinas sa pangunguna ng DOH na aktibo ang ahensya na isulong ang mas mahigpit na mga polisiya at batas para maprotektahan ang mga Pilipino sa panganib ng to***co at v**e. Patuloy ang DOH Health Promotion Bureau sa pagbibigay ng tamang edukasyon sa mga komunidad, eskwelahan, at workplace habang pinaiigting din ang smoking cessation services ng ahensya, alinsunod sa National To***co Cessation Infrastructure Plan 2025–2030. Nakiisa rin ang DOH Health Promotion Bureau sa isinagawang Policy Forum on Safeguarding Youth From To***co Harms sa House of Representatives bilang pagpapaigting ng mga polisiya, batas, at adbokasiya para sa pagpapalakas ng to***co control efforts sa Ika-20 Kongreso. Maligayang Araw ng mga G**o sa aming butihing BKD Adviser, Sir Aurelio “Sir Auie” Nicolas, sagisag ng dunong at bukal ng wagas na malasakit. Sa ilalim ng iyong paggabay, natutunan naming ang tunay na diwa ng pagkakaisa, disiplina, at paglilingkod. Ang iyong mga salita ay gabay, ang iyong halimbawa ay inspirasyon, at ang iyong presensiya ay paalala na ang isang g**o ay higit pa sa nagtuturo; siya ay tagapaghubog ng kabataan at tagapag-alab ng adhikain para sa kabutihan.

BKD President Samantha Marie Cabasis attended the 2025 State of the Youth Address (SOYA) & Kaisakabataan Awards last August 29, 2025 at Santiago Sports Arena. She proudly represented her school and barangay in this meaningful gathering of youth leaders, public servants, and partners in nation-building.

Being part of this event highlights the importance of the youth’s active role in shaping our community and fostering leadership that inspires positive change. Truly an honor to witness and take part in this milestone for the young generation. ✨

📌 LOOK | BKD President Samantha Marie Cabasis, together with her fellow BKD officers, joined the aSKpiring Leaders Camp held on August 21, 2025 at Villa Evangeline, Patul, Santiago City.

The activity was spearheaded by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Patul, headed by Hon. Christian James Valdez, with the support of the City Youth Development Council of Santiago, the Local Youth Development Office, and dedicated youth volunteers.

This collaborative effort continues to strengthen the leadership skills of the youth, promote teamwork, and inspire service for the community. 🌟
