It is believed that a great divinity known as Bathala created seven moons in the night sky but Bakunawa, who was astounded by the seven moons' light rising from the deep black ocean—swallowed one of the moons whole once every one hundred years—thus leading to eclipses and earthquakes, which caused a schism between her and Bathala.

Don't let their beautiful looks fool you. Despite their appearance, they are more capable than they seem to be.
