EQHS Bacood Manila History.....from Batch '65
This is a group of people who were the first graduates of Elpidio Quirino High School, Manila. Elpidio Quirino High School was one of the many branches of V. It used to be Mapa High School, Hidalgo branch. Hidalgo St., corner Bilibid Viejo and it has a branch further down R. Hidalgo by MLQ University. There were only 1st and 2nd year in that branch and

the uniform for girls was blue skirts and white blouses while for boys it was khaki pants and white shirts. It gained independence from Mapa High in 1963 and thus became Elpidio Quirino High School. When the school year 1963-64 the uniform changed to golden yellow skirts and white blouses for girls
and for the boys, it remained the same. Class 1963-64 would soon be the 1st graduates of Elpidio Quirino and at that time they were in the 3rd year of high school...and the first graduation was held in San Sebastian Auditorium in May of 1965. The rest was history.....
