𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Due to the continuous rain brought by the Southwest Monsoon, all PUP NCR campuses and extension programs will observe a work-from-home setup tomorrow, August 19.

This is in accordance with the latest announcement from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) today.

The alternative work arrangement also covers PUP branches in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro. Campuses not mentioned above are advised to await further instructions from their respective Local Government Units (LGUs).

Meanwhile, PUP email and SINTA will remain available for services and requests.

#𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗞 | Kanselado ang face-to-face classes sa PUP Sta. Mesa Campus bukas, Agosto 18, dulot ng masamang panahong dala ng habagat.

Bunsod nito, inurong sa Agosto 22 ang nakatakdang First Day Fight at lilipat sa Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) ang mga klase.

Iiral naman ang work-from-home setup bukas para sa mga kawani ng unibersidad sa NCR, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, at Occidental Mindoro.

Kabilang sa mga onsite operation na titigil ang enrollment at ID printing.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Heads up, BABR Students!

The PUP Department of Broadcast Communication has officially released the cyclical face-to-face class schedule for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026-2027, along with the important dates to remember.

Class presidents and students are advised to coordinate with their respective course advisers for any clarifications regarding the schedule and other academic concerns.

For this school year, the PUP College of Communication (COC) will once again implement a cyclical class schedule due to the ongoing construction of the new Mass Communication Building.

#𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗞 | Manila City local government has suspended afternoon classes at all levels today, August 17, due to the inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon.

The immediate suspension is in recommendation of the city's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), advising schools and universities to shift to Advanced Delivery Mode.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | Students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) - Department of Journalism (DOJ) gathered on August 13 for JOURNFEST 2026 at the College of Communication (COC) Audio-Visual Room.

Carrying the theme, “Trail and Thrive: Turning Pages Through Two Decades of Truth-Telling,” the annual fest organized by the PUP Journalism Guild showcased the academic outputs produced by students from freshman to senior year throughout Academic Year 2025-2026.

Freshman students showcased their websites, with BAJ 1-1D presenting "Ang Mas1d," BAJ 1-2N featuring "The Writt2n," and BAJ 1-1N presenting their newsletter "The Sentinel." The outputs tackled issues relevant to COC and the wider PUP community.

Meanwhile, selected second-year students presented their data stories, with eight entries shortlisted for the Best Data Story award.

Third-year students also showcased their photo stories, with selected works competing for the Best Photo Story award.

Also featured during the fest were iCommunicate Volumes 31 to 33, the official magazine of PUP-COC, produced by fourth-year Journalism students. BAJ 4-1D presented Kalyematopeya Magazine, BAJ 4-1N showcased RE:VIEW Magazine, while BAJ 4-2N featured Edge Magazine.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates of recognition and the announcement of winners for the Best Data Story and Best Photo Story awards, presented by DOJ Chairperson Renalyn Valdez and faculty member Jairo Bolledo.

Ipinapakita rin nito ang pangangailangan para sa patuloy at abot-kayang serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa mga nakatatanda, lalo na para sa mga may malubhang karamdaman na nangangailangan ng regular na pagsusuri at pangangalaga.

Sa edad na 72, tinapat umano siya ng mga doktor na hindi na magiging madali ang operasyon dahil sa kanyang edad at pangkalahatang kondisyon.
