For Korina, her time as a HUMSS student at Mater Dei Academy was formative, shaping her into a confident communicator. A defining highlight of her senior high school journey was joining the “Sa Puso Mo” podcast during the February Specials, where she discovered the art of conveying ideas effectively and connecting deeply with others through meaningful conversations. At the moment, it was just an exciting new venture, but it quietly laid the foundational bricks for her future.

Years later, life took an unexpected turn when she found herself pursuing a degree in Broadcasting—a path she had never originally envisioned. Yet, this sudden redirection beautifully evolved into a full-circle moment. The exact skills she first honed behind the microphone at Mater Dei flourished during her college journey, where she excelled in podcasting, hosting, news and media production, interviews, and both on-camera and behind-the-scenes work. Looking back, she realized that those early school activities were secretly preparing her for a future she had yet to discover. Mater Dei did more than just hand her a textbook education; it sparked the confidence, adaptability, and passion that have now propelled her to incredible heights.

Today, she proudly graduates Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting, while also being recognized as a recipient of the Best Thesis award and the Governor’s Academic Excellence Award.

For Thadeus, the Senior High School years were a harrowing struggle for survival amidst a global pandemic — a chaotic time when he felt his eagerness to study completely slip away. The heartbreak didn't stop there; he faced a tough rejection from his dream university, which ultimately redirected his path to Bulacan State University; a choice that may not have been his top pick, but still offered a fresh start.

His college journey was riddled with profound self-doubt, and there were many dark moments when he came terrifyingly close to throwing in the towel on his course. Yet, in the face of overwhelming odds, he chose to persevere. His resilience paid off when he qualified for the prestigious DOST-JLSS scholarship, and against all expectations, he is now graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. What he once viewed as a mere last resort truly transformed into the home where he discovered his real purpose.

Thadeus, we are sure that your hardship will soon be rewarded; keep living under the spirit of TALINO, TIYAGA at PUSONG DAKILA!

Jamela’s journey from elementary to senior high school at Mater Dei Academy was defined by active student leadership. These foundational years did more than just build her academic strength—they molded her character, instilled a deep sense of discipline, and fostered a genuine heart for others.

When she transitioned to Bulacan State University to pursue her nursing education, she carried these core principles with her. Facing a demanding curriculum that consistently challenged her limits, Jamela leaned on her foundational training to strengthen her professional purpose. She actively stepped into leadership roles during clinical and community duties, while remaining heavily involved in various college organizations and collaborative group activities. These experiences further deepened her commitment to teamwork, reinforced her passion for serving those in need, and ultimately culminated in a stellar academic milestone, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the university.

As Jamela steps forward into the next chapter of her nursing career, her journey of service is only just beginning. Moses' time from Junior to Senior High School at Mater Dei Academy served as the bedrock for his academic growth. When he transitioned to the University of Santo Tomas to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering, this rigorous preparation proved invaluable. The transition to higher education was seamless; the core competencies and analytical strategies he mastered at Mater Dei Academy allowed him to adapt effortlessly to the demanding engineering curriculum. His dedication ultimately culminated in a major milestone, graduating Cum Laude from the university.

Today, Moses credits much of his academic success to the dedicated faculty at Mater Dei Academy, whose guidance and mentorship instilled in him the skills that continue to drive his achievements.
