Campus Journalism - Buca Integrated School

Campus journalism-Buca Integrated School plays a vital role in the school community. It is the practice of reporting, writing, and publishing news and information relevant to students, teachers, and the school environment. Through school papers, newsletters, and digital platforms, campus journalists inform, educate, and inspire their fellow learners.

School Journalists learn how to gather facts, write articles, and express opinions responsibly. They cover events like intramurals, programs, academic achievements, and issues that affect the student body. In doing so, they help strengthen transparency, unity, and pride in the school.

Honoring the Pillars of Love and Strength

The Parents' day celebration was attended by different stakeholders, such as barangay officials, DSWD representatives, and parents. The said event was held on February 22, 2025 at the Social Hall, Buca Integrated School. The success of the event was possible because of the immense support of the school head, sir Brunelle C. Samoro, barangay captain, barangay functionaries, some of the municipal councilors, teachers, and parents who never doubted to involve on the said program by extending their money, time and efforts.

Parents play a vital role in shaping our lives, providing unconditional love, guidance, and support. To celebrate their sacrifices and dedication, Parents' Day is observed in many countries worldwide. This special day serves as an opportunity to appreciate and honor the contributions of parents in nurturing and raising children.

There were many ways of celebrating Parents day, just like how Buca IS celebrates it.
1. Expressing gratitude.
A simple "thank you" can go a long way in making parents feel valued. Writing a heartfelt letter, making a handmade card, or even just telling them how much they mean to you can make their day special.
2. Spending Quality time with each other
Buca IS made an idea of inviting students parents. As they also spend time together while listening to speeches, prayers, and entertainment.
3. Gifting them
Personalized gifts, such as a photo album filled with cherished memories, a custom mug, or a handwritten poem, can bring joy to parents. If they have specific hobbies or interests, consider gifting something related to their passions.

Parents' Day is a beautiful occasion to acknowledge the love, dedication, and sacrifices of parents. Whether through small gestures or grand celebrations, taking the time to appreciate parents can bring immense joy and strengthen family relationships.
This Parents' Day, let’s make sure to express our gratitude and love for those who have given us so much.
