We are deeply honored to have Dr. Edita T. Burgos as the commencement speaker for our graduation program. Her unwavering commitment to justice and truth serves as a beacon of hope for all of us striving to create a better world.

Today’s first screening of the film, Alipato at Muog, at the UP Film Center poignantly commemorates the 18th year since the disappearance of Jonas Burgos. The film was powerful, moving and worth watching as it reminds us of the enduring fight for human rights and the courage it takes to stand firm in the face of adversity.

As we celebrate our graduates’ achievements, may we also draw inspiration from Dr. Edita T. Burgos' strength and resolve. Let this be a call to action for all of us to remain steadfast in our pursuit of truth and justice.
