Santa Maria, Ilocos Surโ Residents and staff of both Menโs and Ladiesโ Dormitories gathered for a Joint Monthly General Meeting on August 13, 2026, to review campus housing policies, discuss facility maintenance, and strengthen community standards for the ongoing term.
The assembly was led by Mr. Alvin Jay F. Tobias, who emphasized the importance of student cooperation, discipline, and shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and conducive living environment for all boarders.
"Living in the dormitories requires mutual respect and active participation from everyone," Tobias stated during his opening address. "Whether in the Menโs or Ladiesโ facility, our goal is to maintain a secure, clean, and supportive home that allows every resident to focus on their academic growth."
Key operational guidelines and policy updates highlighted during the meeting included:
Security and Safety: Re-orientation on official curfew hours, visitor entry guidelines, and emergency protocols across both dormitories.
Sanitation and Health: Implementation of waste segregation policies and regular cleanliness schedules for common spaces.
Facility Maintenance: Clearer procedures for submitting maintenance requests and guidelines for energy and water conservation.
The meeting concluded with an open forum where student residents raised concerns regarding facility amenities and proposed joint student-led activities for the semester.
