Babal-lasioan ES Holds First Pupils’ General Assembly, Orients 87 Learners on Handbook and New Grading System
SANTA MARIA , Ilocos Sur — In a proactive effort to promote student discipline and academic transparency, Babal-lasioan Elementary School successfully conducted its First Pupils’ General Assembly today, June 9, 2026. The event drew an active participation of 87 pupils across various grade levels, all gathering to realign themselves with the school's core expectations and upcoming academic standards.
During the assembly, Mr. Renato Valdez Jr., Master Teacher I, thoroughly discussed the salient portions of the student handbook that directly impact the pupils, emphasizing their rights, responsibilities, and behavioral guidelines. Furthermore, Mr. Valdez carefully unpacked the mechanics of the new Department of Education (DepEd) grading system, offering learners a clear and transparent view of how their written works, performance tasks, and assessments will be evaluated to help them successfully reach their academic goals this school year.
