Today, October 2, 2026, PBNHS set aside the lesson plans and chalkboards to shine the spotlight on our true heroes on this year's National Teachers' Day Celebration, anchored on the theme "Teacher, Ikaw Naman!"

The meaningful occasion kicked off with a holy blessing through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Verge Ramos. 🙏

Our beloved teachers were then honored with inspiring words of wisdom and encouragement from our esteemed guests: Hon. Omeng Ramos – Municipal Mayor, Hon. Obet Perez – Municipal Vice-Mayor, Hon. Fe Ramos – Municipal Councilor and Dr. Carlito Dela Cruz – PSDS, Sta. Maria West District

The excitement reached a high note during the raffle draw, where lucky teachers took home exciting gifts! The energy soared even higher as our educators took center stage in the Teachers Got Talent segment—proving that PBNHS teachers excel not just in teaching, but in showcasing world-class talent and creativity! 🎤💃🎸

PISA-BASED TEST FOR SCHOOLS (PBTS) 2026 ONLINE ASSESSMENT

PBNHS conducted the Online Web Assessment for the DepEd PISA-Based Test for Schools (PBTS) Philippines 2026 held today, September 22, 2026 at the Computer Laboratory Room.

The DepEd Central Office randomly selected a total of 56 (15-year-old )examinees from Grade 7 to Grade 10 participated in this computer-based evaluation. This assessment aims to measure our students' critical thinking, literacy, and problem-solving skills in alignment with global educational standards under the DepEd PISA for Schools.

Kudos to our student-examinees for their focus and hard work, and heartfelt thanks to our School Principal -Ma'am Marissa Ramos, test administrators from Minuyan NHS, Sir Rolando Lavarias and Ma'am Maureen Lavarias- ICT coordinators and members of the TWG for ensuring a smooth and seamless testing environment! 👏

PBNHS successfully conducted the TOFAS (Test of Fundamental Academic Skills), participated in by all Grade 7 to Grade 10 students, still ongoing this September 2026.

TOFAS is an international assessment designed to measure learners’ fundamental academic skills, with a focus on their numerical and mathematical abilities, thus supports the continuous improvement of Mathematics education.

Kudos to our School Principal IV- Ma'am Marissa Ramos, Ma'am Evelyn Sicat- Head Teacher VI, to our Mathematics teachers most especially to all our Grade 7–10 learners for taking part in this international assessment.

UNITED IN SPIRIT, PASSION, AND SPORTSMANSHIP.

What an unforgettable three days of grit, excitement, and pride in this year's PBNHS Intramurals last September 3-4 and 7, 2026.

The celebration kicked off with a vibrant grand parade around the school vicinity, followed by the opening program at the covered court. Intramural Games were conducted simultaneously while students and guests also explored the lively booths prepared by our school clubs and organizations.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this event a resounding success:

The faculty of Pulong Buhangin National High School successfully conducted the In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET 2026) today, September 11, 2026 at the school covered court with the theme: "Strengthening Quality Instruction through the Effective Implementation of the Revised K-12 Curriculum Learning Session (LS) Policy Guides."

This training aims to equip our educators with refreshed strategies, policy insights, and practical tools to deliver top-tier instruction to every learner.

Our sincerest appreciation to our SP IV- Ma'am Marissa Ramos, department heads and coordinators, to all the distinguished speakers for sharing your knowledge and expertise, members of the TWG and all teachers for the successful conduct of the said training.
