THIS IS WHERE OUR MOOE GOES โ 2nd Quarter
Transparency and accountability remain our commitment to the school community. Our Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) for the 2nd Quarter were utilized for the purchase of office supplies and equipment, materials for repair and maintenance, classroom ceiling repairs, school fence repairs, repainting of the school roof, and mowing of the school grounds.
Mandatory expenses such as janitorial services, security services, and electricity bills were likewise paid to ensure the continuous and safe operation of our school.

BASIAWAN CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WELCOMES LEARNERS BACK AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE
Basiawan, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental โ June 22, 2026
After days of uncertainty brought about by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck on June 8, 2026, Basiawan Central Elementary School officially reopened its doors and warmly welcomed learners back to school today - June 22, 2026.
Following the issuance of safety clearances and the directive from the Provincial Government of Davao Occidental, face-to-face classes resumed in the Municipality of Sta. Maria. Teachers, parents, and learners returned with renewed hope, strength, and determination to continue the journey of education despite the challenges brought by the recent disaster.
The reopening of classes signified not only the return to classrooms but also the resilience, courage, and unity of the entire school community. To help learners express their emotions and experiences after the earthquake, various classroom activities and Psychological First Aid (PFA) initiatives were conducted.
As part of the learners' meaningful return to school, Mrs. Clarissa Z. Ramos, Teacher II and Grade 3 Adviser, conducted the โAll About Meโ Mini Poster activity with her Grade 3 advisory class. The activity allowed learners to express their thoughts, feelings, interests, and experiences following the recent earthquake. Through creative self-expression, the pupils were given an opportunity to share their emotions and reconnect with their classmates and teacher in a safe and supportive classroom environment.
School Principal II, Ms. Debie Mae A. Misa, expressed her gratitude and optimism as classes resumed.
"Today marks not only the reopening of our classrooms but also the reopening of hope in the hearts of our learners. Despite the challenges we have experienced, our school community remains strong, resilient, and committed to providing quality education. Let us continue to support one another as we move forward together."
The entire BCES family remains committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for every learner.
As classes begin, the school community continues to embody resilience and hope as the Home of the Positive Dreamers.
