CLASSES SUSPENDED IN SAMAR; STA. MARGARITA II DISTRICT OFFICE REMAINS OPEN FOR SERVICE

January 5, 2026 – While the Provincial Government of Samar has declared a suspension of classes at all levels through an executive order issued today, the Office of Sta. Margarita II District continues to operate and remains ready to serve its clientele.

Despite the class halt, district personnel are on hand to address administrative concerns, process documents, and assist stakeholders as planned. The office is optimistic that 2026 will be a fruitful year, guided by the leadership of District Supervisor Dr. Rowena R. Delabajan, who is recognized for her proactive initiatives and forward-looking vision for the district’s educational development.

Officials emphasize that essential services will be maintained throughout any future disruptions to ensure continuous support for students, parents, and teaching staff in the area.

A Week of Triumphs and Tireless Dedication

Sta. Margarita II District, Sta Margarita. Samar – For the hardworking team of Sta. Margarita II District, the past week has been a whirlwind of activity, showcasing their unwavering commitment to education and sports. From the Division Schools Press Conference in Basey, Samar, to the Samar Provincial Athletic Association Meet 2025 in Paranas, the district has been at the forefront, supporting its students and athletes every step of the way.
The week kicked off with the Division Schools Press Conference, where young journalists from Sta. Margarita II showcased their writing and reporting skills. The district's representatives made a splash in the DSPC.
Following the press conference, all eyes turned to the Samar Provincial Athletic Association Meet 2025, which concluded just last Sunday, November 16, in Paranas, Samar. Athletes from Sta. Margarita II District demonstrated exceptional talent and sportsmanship, bringing home a collection of medals and accolades.
But the work doesn't stop there. Even as the echoes of cheers from the athletic meet fade away, the District Office of Sta. Margarita II remains a hub of activity. On this Monday, just hours after the closing ceremony, the dedicated team, led by PSDS Dr. Rowena R. Delabajan, along with District Bookkeeper Precila U. Perez, Rechelle Ember Villar, and ADAS II Vangie Basal, are hard at work, catching up on office tasks.
"It's been a demanding week, but seeing our students and athletes succeed makes it all worthwhile, Yana ngani tikadto ako sa Panabatan, kaya la makusog man an uran, ngan adi tambak an mga pirmahan yana nga adlaw" shared Dr. Delabajan. "We're a small team, but we're driven by our passion for education and our commitment to the students of Sta. Margarita II."
Even lunch was a luxury, grabbed late at 3:00 PM amidst piles of documents and urgent tasks. The dedication of these individuals often goes unnoticed, but it is the backbone of the district's success. Their tireless efforts ensure that students receive the support and opportunities they need to excel.
This week in Sta. Margarita II District is a testament to the power of dedication, teamwork, and a shared vision for a brighter future. As they continue their work, they serve as an inspiration to the entire community, proving that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
