𝗦𝗧𝗔. 𝗙𝗘 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗥𝗣 𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦

Promoting awareness of learners’ rights, strengthening child protection mechanisms and fostering collective responsibility among schools, families, government agencies and communities, the Regional Kickoff of Learner Protection Rights on Wheels brought together education leaders, parents, learners and partner stakeholders in a shared commitment to ensuring safe, inclusive and protective learning environments for every child yesterday, September 18 at Santa Fe Municipal Plaza. Hosted by Sta. Fe NHS and initiated by Learner Rights and Protection Division (LRPD) representatives from MIMAROPA region, the activity brought learner protection advocacy closer to both Sta. Fe NHS learners and parents.

The meaningful gathering commenced with the Parade of the LRP on Wheels Mobile Caravan, featuring the participation of LRPD representatives, regional and division learner rights and protection focal persons, and LRP advocates. The parade symbolized the continuing movement to promote learner protection, strengthen awareness and bring essential advocacy initiatives closer to the communities they serve.

Following the parade, the Opening Program formally unfolded with the singing of the National Anthem, the Prayer, the DepEd MIMAROPA March, and the DepEd Romblon Hymn. The presentation of the Lumina further established an atmosphere of unity, cooperation and shared commitment among the various stakeholders present during the activity.

Adding vibrancy to the opening celebration was the Opening Salvo: Dance Performance by the Marahuyo Dancers, whose presentation infused the gathering with energy and enthusiasm. The performance also contributed to the celebration of learners’ talents and the active participation of the school community in meaningful educational initiatives.

The program continued with the Welcome Message delivered by Jose O. Garcia, Public Schools District Supervisor, who formally welcomed the participants and stakeholders to the regional kickoff. This was followed by the Keynote Message of Roger F. Capa, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, which formed part of the activity’s central discussions on learner protection and the shared responsibility of education stakeholders.

Providing an inspirational dimension to the program was the virtual message of Ronnie S. Mallari, PhD, CESO III, Director IV and Regional Director. The opening program also featured a Special Number: Informance presented by selected students of Sta. Fe National High School. Through their performance, the learners contributed to the program’s celebration of student participation, creativity and expression, demonstrating the meaningful role of learners in school and community activities.

The activity further emphasized stakeholder support through a series of messages from distinguished partners namely: Hon. Lynette M. Gatarin, Sangguniang Bayan Member and PMAJ Anthony John Angio, Acting Chief of Police, PNP-Santa Fe, Romblon.

The Opening Program culminated in a Photo Opportunity, bringing together the education officials, regional representatives, government partners, teachers, parents, learners and other participants for a commemorative gathering. The moment captured the collective presence of stakeholders united by a common purpose: to promote learner rights, reinforce protective mechanisms, and support the development of learning environments where every child can feel safe, respected, and valued.

More than a formal commencement, the regional kickoff served as a platform for strengthening awareness, encouraging participation and fostering partnerships in the pursuit of learner protection. Through the LRP on Wheels, the advocacy for learners’ rights continues to reach communities, engage stakeholders, and emphasize the shared commitment to protecting every learner.

With strengthened collaboration, sustained advocacy and active stakeholder participation, the initiative reinforces the importance of placing learner rights, safety, dignity and welfare at the center of educational practice and community responsibility.

Sta. Fe National High School (Sta. Fe NHS) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Jocel P. Galido, a member of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) of Santa Fe, and Hon. Lynette M. Gatarin, also an SB member, for their invaluable contributions to the preparations of Tribu Baghak’s performance for the upcoming Municipal Foundation celebration.

As part of the school’s ongoing preparations, Hon. Galido generously extended assistance in transporting the performance props of Tribu Baghak from the Municipality of Alcantara to Santa Fe. This support helped facilitate the safe and efficient movement of the essential materials needed for the students’ performance, contributing to the smooth implementation of the school’s cultural presentation preparations.

Beyond logistical assistance, Sta. Fe NHS likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to Hon. Gatarin, SB member, for extending financial support to cover the miscellaneous expenses of Tribu Baghak. Her generosity provided meaningful assistance in addressing the various needs associated with the preparation and implementation of the group’s performance.

The preparation of Tribu Baghak’s performance represents more than a school activity; it provides an avenue for students to showcase their talents, celebrate cultural identity, and participate in the collective festivities of the municipality. With dedication to student welfare and commitment to responsive guidance services, the School Counselor Associate is expected to assist learners in addressing their academic, personal, social and emotional concerns. The role emphasizes listening to students, guiding their decisions and supporting their growth as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.

As part of the school community, the School Counselor Associate will work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, parents and learners to promote positive behavior, encourage responsible decision-making and strengthen students' well-being.

Teachers of Sta. Fe National High School participated in the Clustered Training of Teachers on Microsoft Productivity Tools for DepEd Computerization Adoption In-Service Training (INSET) held on September 10–11, 2026 at the school library, strengthening their digital competencies, enhancing their technological skills and equipping themselves with practical tools to support more efficient teaching and learning.

The two-day professional development activity brought teachers together in a collaborative learning environment where they explored, practiced and applied Microsoft productivity tools that can be utilized in classroom instruction, instructional preparation, assessment, communication, collaboration and school-based management.

The training emphasized the importance of developing teachers who are not only competent in their respective subject areas but are also digitally capable, technologically adaptive and responsive to the changing demands of education. As schools continue to integrate digital technologies into their operations and instructional practices, teachers are expected to maximize available tools to improve productivity, strengthen collaboration and enhance learning experiences.

Throughout the training, participating teachers engaged in hands-on activities, guided demonstrations, collaborative exercises and practical applications. These activities provided opportunities for teachers to move beyond theoretical discussions and directly experience how productivity tools can be incorporated into their daily responsibilities.

The sessions focused on developing practical skills that teachers can use in creating and organizing instructional materials, preparing documents and presentations, managing information, facilitating collaboration, communicating with colleagues and learners, and accomplishing various school-related tasks.

Beyond familiarizing themselves with the different features of Microsoft productivity tools, the participants were encouraged to examine their instructional relevance and practical application. Teachers were challenged to identify ways technology can complement sound teaching practices, address classroom needs, simplify routine tasks and provide more engaging and organized learning opportunities for students.

The clustered training also served as a platform for sharing experiences, exchanging strategies, addressing common challenges and building professional connections among participating teachers. Through collaborative learning, teachers were able to learn from one another, share their existing digital practices and discover alternative approaches to using technology in their respective contexts.

The activity reinforced the principle that effective technology integration goes beyond simply knowing how to operate digital applications. It requires teachers to understand when to use technology, how to use it effectively and why it should be used to achieve specific instructional and organizational objectives.

In the context of DepEd Computerization Adoption, the training provided an avenue for teachers to strengthen their readiness to work within an increasingly digital educational environment. By improving their technological competencies, teachers become better prepared to utilize available computerization resources and productivity platforms in ways that contribute to more efficient school operations and more responsive classroom instruction.

The training likewise highlighted the value of continuous professional development. With digital tools and educational technologies constantly evolving, teachers need to continuously learn, practice, adapt and innovate. Professional learning activities such as the two-day INSET enable educators to update their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and translate new learning into meaningful practices.

For Sta. Fe National High School teachers, participation in the training was not merely an opportunity to learn new technological tools. It was an opportunity to rethink existing practices, refine professional skills and respond more effectively to the digital needs of today's learners.

The knowledge and skills gained from the training are expected to be carried into the teachers' classrooms and school responsibilities. As the two-day activity concluded on September 11, participating teachers returned to their respective teaching and professional responsibilities equipped with new knowledge, enhanced skills, and renewed confidence in utilizing digital productivity tools.

The participation of Sta. Fe National High School teachers in the Clustered Training of Teachers on Microsoft Productivity Tools reflects the school's continuing commitment to empowering teachers, embracing innovation and strengthening digital readiness.

Sta. Fe National High School warmly welcomes its newest addition to the dedicated school workforce: Mr. Kirlem G. Fababeir, Project Development Officer I (PDO), an education support professional tasked with contributing to the effective implementation and development of school programs and projects.

The arrival of the PDO signals another opportunity for SFNHS to strengthen its efforts toward responsive, inclusive and quality education.

As a PDO, the newly welcomed personnel is expected to work collaboratively with the school administration, teaching and non-teaching personnel, learners and other stakeholders in supporting initiatives that address the needs and priorities of the school.
