Santa Fe National High School is a public secondary school organized and inspired by Dr. Pedro Orata, the Father of Barrio High School. Monsanto, Principal of Madridejos Provincial High School and Mr. Ilustrisimo, Industrial Arts teacher of Santa Fe Central Elementary School. The first teacher assigned here, last 1968 was Miss Charito Bacolod, aided by Mr. Alberto Manibo, EGT handling Filipino, Mr
. Ilustrisimo handling Industrial Arts and YDT. In addition, the teaching staff, in 1969-70, Miss Flora Rosello, Miss Magdalena B. Giducos, Mrs. Isabel S. Avila, Mrs. Angelina S. Veliganio, Mr. Plutarco Hortelano, Mrs. Angelina Rojas, Mrs. Maria Apa, Mrs. Bernadita M. Boltron composed the teaching staff until it turned its first batch of graduates. Santa Fe community is basically farming and fishing community. It is rural in nature many economic difficulties associated with a decline in fish catch due to illegal fishing and poor agricultural harvest. In 1982 the community of Santa Fe celebrated the 112th Foundation Anniversary as an independent town named SANTA FE. Santa Fe National High School student population is increasing each year. It mirrors that the community build trust on the schoolโs capability of educating the students. The parents are very supportive with the schoolโs programs and policies and with these scenarios, the school start moving toward a goal that is always beneficial to learners and the community. Santa Fe is the gateway of Bantayan Island. It possesses a white fine sand and crystal blue sea water. From DepEd Division Office, Santa Fe National High School can be reached passing through the North Bus Terminal in Mandaue City to Hagnaya port, San Remegio, Cebu which is more 110 km. In Hagnaya port you take a ferry boat which will take you eleven (11) nautical miles in Visayan sea to the island of Bantayan. Santa Fe welcomes you with pleasure and serene atmosphere.
