🎓 SCIAA GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING 2027

“UNITED WITH STRENGTH, REACHING OUT WITH CARE”

Dear Fellow SCI Alumni,

The SCIAA Grand Alumni Homecoming 2027 is drawing closer!

The Host Batch ’78 warmly invites all SCI alumni from every batch to come home, reconnect with old friends and classmates, celebrate our shared memories, and take part in activities that strengthen the spirit of unity and camaraderie among the SCIAA family.

The 3rd Coordination Meeting held on August 2, 2026 provided important updates and preparations for the much-awaited Grand Alumni Homecoming.

📅 MAJOR HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES

APRIL 23, 2027

6:00 PM — Special Mass

The celebration will begin with a Special Mass as we gather in thanksgiving and prayer for the blessings received by the SCI community and for the success of the Grand Alumni Homecoming.

After the Mass — Band Parade (Dyana)

The evening will continue with the traditional Band Parade/Dyana, setting the festive mood for the homecoming celebration.

APRIL 24, 2027

🎺 5:00 AM — BAND PARADE (DYANA)

The festivities continue early in the morning with the Band Parade.

🎉 7:00 AM — GRAND PARADE OF SCI ALUMNI

All alumni are encouraged to participate in the Grand Parade of SCI Alumni.

Assembly: Town Plaza
Attire: Unified T-shirt

Parade Guidelines

• Every batch should have a muse and es**rt.

• The parade is not a competition.

• There will be no parade theme.

• Although there is no competition, special awards and prizes will be given.

• The parade will proceed from the oldest batch to the most recent batch.

• The Host Batch will lead the parade.

• Cars may be included in the parade.

Let us make this a colorful and memorable display of the generations of SCI alumni united as one family!

Alumni Night will be one of the major highlights of the SCIAA Grand Alumni Homecoming 2027.

👚 ATTIRE

Batch T-shirt paired with Pants — denim, trousers, or square pants

The batch year and the official SCIAA Grand Alumni Homecoming theme, “United with Strength, Reaching Out with Care” should be printed on the batch shirt.

The batch representatives unanimously agreed that the Host Batch would assign colors to batches that were not represented during the meeting, while batches that attended the August 2 meeting were allowed to choose their preferred T-shirt colors. (PLEASE REFER TO THE ATTACHED PICTURE)

❤️ BEYOND THE HOMECOMING: REACHING OUT WITH CARE

The 2027 Grand Alumni Homecoming is not only about coming together—it is also about giving back and reaching out to fellow alumni and our alma mater.

🤝 OUTREACH PROGRAM PER BATCH

Each batch is encouraged to undertake an outreach activity, including Sick Alumni Visitation.

The activity is targeted for 2026, with the venue and specific arrangements to be determined by each batch. Expenses will be shouldered by the respective batches.

🏫 REPAINTING OF THE SCI SCHOOL BUILDING

A collective project of SCIAA is the repainting of the SCI School Building, targeted for March 2027.

Funding will come from the SCIAA collection.

📖 Souvenir Program

The souvenir program is also being prepared for the Grand Alumni Homecoming.

Deadline for submission of layout and collection of payment:

September 30, 2026

Funding will be supported through solicitations and donations from SCI alumni.

🙏 A CALL TO ALL SCI ALUMNI

The Host Batch is earnestly requesting everyone's help in inviting and encouraging fellow alumni to join the SCIAA Grand Alumni Homecoming 2027 on April 24, 2027.

We are also still looking for Batch Representatives from Batch 2000 onwards. If you know fellow alumni from these batches, please encourage them to get involved and help keep their batch connected with the SCIAA family.

The Host Batch ’78 extends its sincere gratitude to all batch presidents, coordinators, representatives, and early-bird batches who have continuously participated in the preparations and generously supported the SCIAA fundraising initiatives.

Your support makes this homecoming possible.

Santa Cruz Institute (Marinduque), Inc. conducted its College Orientation and Reading of Bylaws, alongside a two-day QLearn Orientation in partnership with Quipper Philippines, represented by Ms. Maricar and Ms. Dorina.

The Freshmen Orientation was facilitated by College Dean Erralyn P. Pedro and Students Affairs and Services (SAS) Coordinator Dave Edcel R. Escala, welcoming our new learners and preparing them for their academic journey at SCI.

Through this partnership, SCI continues to champion quality, innovation, and technology-enabled education, cultivating learners prepared for the demands of the 21st century and advancing toward our vision of becoming a globally competitive institution leading in innovation and technology by 2030.

🕊️ A TRIBUTE TO OUR DEAR STUDENT

With profound sadness, the Santa Cruz Institute (Marinduque), Inc. community mourns the passing of Christian Hebron, a beloved student of the Bachelor of Secondary Education-, Major in Filipino.

Christian will be remembered as part of our SCI family whose presence touched the lives of his classmates, friends, and educators. Though his journey with us has come to an untimely end, the memories he shared and the life he lived will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with his family, loved ones, classmates, and friends during this difficult time.

May you rest in eternal peace, Christian.
You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be forgotten.

Santa Cruz Institute (Marinduque), Inc. joins the people of Marinduque in commemorating the 𝟭𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗲.

On July 31, 2026 (Friday), Marinduque observes this historic occasion as a 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, pursuant to Republic Act No. 9749.

A moment to remember the sacrifices of those who came before us, honor their bravery, and carry forward the spirit of unity, courage, and love for our homeland.

Sa bawat kuwentong ating inaalala, buhay ang ating kasaysayan. Sa bawat aral na ating pinanghahawakan, patuloy nating binubuo ang kinabukasan.
