GUIDELINES FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION
2nd Trimester, School Year 2025–2026

All graduate students scheduled to take the Comprehensive Examination must strictly adhere to the following guidelines to ensure an organized, efficient, and fair process. Please read each instruction carefully and comply accordingly.

➡️Eligibility Requirements
Students may only take the Comprehensive Examination if they have completed the required academic units.

For Master of Arts in Education (MAED) students, a minimum of 33 academic units is required under the new curriculum and 30 units under the old curriculum.

For Master of Public Administration (MPA) students must have completed at least 30 academic units. If you are unsure of your eligibility status, you are strongly advised to consult the Registrar’s Office prior to the examination date to avoid any issues on the day of the exam.

➡️Self-Evaluation and Submission Process
Before the examination, all candidates must complete a self-evaluation of their academic progress. To begin, visit the designated Google Drive folder at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YyODZzRbTc3aN5VvssNyu3LjhpojUKpa?usp=sharing and select the appropriate curriculum for your program (MAED or MPA). Do not edit the original file in the drive; instead, download a copy to your device. Once downloaded, fill out your academic details to confirm that all required courses have been completed.

After accomplishing the self-evaluation, complete the submission process by filling out the online form found at
https://forms.gle/Nr1g9MbicrqjgkTF9

Make sure to upload your completed self-evaluation form as an attachment to the submission.

➡️Settlement of Fees
All students must ensure that their financial obligations are settled no later than January 17, 2026. Payments should be made through the Finance Office, and students are required to secure an official receipt. A photocopy of this receipt must be brought on the day of the examination as proof of payment. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from taking the exam.

➡️Examination Schedule
The Comprehensive Examination is scheduled on Saturday, January 17, 2026, starting promptly at 8:00 AM. All examinees are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for check-in and orientation. Latecomers may not be admitted once the examination has commenced.

Examination Rules and Requirements
Students must bring the following items on exam day: a valid school ID or a government-issued ID (such as a passport or driver’s license), writing tools (pens, pencils, erasers), one long brown envelope, and yellow pad paper. The use of mobile phones, electronic devices, books, printed materials, notes, or study guides is strictly prohibited inside the examination room. All unauthorized materials will be confiscated, and possession may result in disqualification. The examination will run for a maximum of eight hours, and the allotted time will be strictly enforced. Students are reminded to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity throughout the exam. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification and possible disciplinary action.

Those who successfully pass the Comprehensive Examination will be eligible to enroll in Thesis 1 during the 2nd Trimester of School Year 2025–2026.

➡️Important Reminders
In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from attending the exam, it is your responsibility to immediately inform the Office of the Graduate School. You must also be prepared to present supporting documentation to justify your absence. Non-compliance with any of the stated requirements may result in disqualification or delays. Your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines are essential for the successful administration of this important academic milestone.
