As this month opens a new door of opportunities, let us look back to the unbeatable Filipino fighting spirits that has won the world over for being resilient and steadfast, especially in the face of adversity.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 29 signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the Department of Education (DepEd)joins the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month every July.This is to educate and strengthen the capacities of its personnel’s on the different disaster preparedness skills and protocols.

Today as we experienced various catastrophe, it is now time to revive the Filipino Spirit most especially the vulnerability of the Education sector. Schools across the country are vulnerable to hazards such as earthquakes, tropical cyclones, flooding, volcanic eruptions , and even this dreadful pandemic- the Covid-19 that’s ravaging us. Let us hark back what we have learned before and apply those in our daily lives which will help not just ourselves but others as well.

Together let us help hand in hand and pick up broken pieces of our lives and join with us as we celebrate this year’s National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme , “Sama-samang Pagsulong Tungo sa Katatagan sa Gitna ng Bagong Normal.”

Expect various virtual activities that will be facilitated by the newly elected Division Federated Supreme Student Government (DFSSG) of the Division of Davao del Sur. Stay tuned and enjoy this blissful month of July!
