YES-O STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
On November 26, 2025, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) of Vicenta S. David National High School conducted a consultative meeting to prepare for the upcoming community partnership activities with the Local Government Unit of Barangay Gatid. These activities include a barangay clean-up drive and a tree-planting initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and strengthening community engagement.
The meeting was spearheaded by YES-O President John Carl B. Reyes together with SSLG President Jemimah Keziah J. Bautista, who collaboratively discussed plans, logistics, and safety measures to ensure the success of the events. The student leaders were guided and supported by their dedicated advisers Mr. John Michael R. Calderon, Ms. Jennifer D. Lescano, and Mrs. Joanna Mae D. Dela Cruz whose mentorship played a key role in the organization of the activities. This undertaking was also made possible through the strong encouragement and leadership of Mr. Crispin Glenn G. Cambel, School Head, who continuously supports programs that empower learners to become active stewards of the environment.
The consultative meeting also provided an opportunity for student leaders to strengthen their teamwork, leadership skills, and sense of civic responsibility. Through open dialogue and collaborative planning, the participants were able to identify priority areas in the community that would benefit most from the upcoming environmental initiatives.
