Empowering Student Leaders Through Life-Saving Skills!

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Training was successfully conducted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in collaboration with the Division DRRM Coordinator, Ma'am Josefina Marañon,

The activity was attended by four student representatives from each of the school's three major organizations, together with their dedicated advisers: Sir Val Junior Cachapero (SSLG Adviser), Ma'am Melany S. Lumawig (YES-O Adviser), and Sir Jomar Misa (BKD Adviser). Also present was the SDRRM Coordinator, Sir Erwin Gorobat. Joining the training as well were the selected pupils of Acoje Elementary School together with their teachers.

The activity was also graced by the presence of the two school heads: Ma'am Jeanne Macabunga of Acoje National High School and Ma'am Art-Cel Tolentino of Acoje Elementary School, whose support and commitment greatly contributed to the success of the training.

This meaningful training equipped our student leaders and their advisers with essential knowledge and practical skills in emergency response, CPR, and basic first aid—preparing them to respond confidently and effectively during emergencies.

A heartfelt thank you to the Municipal DRRMO and Ma'am Josefina Marañon for sharing their expertise and commitment to building a safer and more resilient school community.

“Reading is the foundation upon which all learning is built."📖

Acoje National High School successfully conducted its 1st School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) for the School Year 2026–2027 with the theme “Building Better Readers."

The learning session was facilitated by Sir Christian Montehermoso and Ma’am Gloryvill Dumaran, who shared practical and research-based strategies for strengthening learners' vocabulary and reading fluency. The session also highlighted the proper administration, interpretation, and presentation of the Acoje NHS Phil-IRI and Literacy Assessment results for both the Junior High School and Senior High School (SHS).

Together, we continue to build a culture where every teacher is a reading teacher, and every learner is given opportunity to succeed.
