✨🙏🏼 Stepping into the weekend with gratitude and faith 🙌🏼

Earlier today, Makapuyat National High School held a Eucharistic Celebration led by Rev. Fr. Dino Solsona, joined by our students, teachers, and staff. This meaningful gathering became a moment of deep spiritual reflection, uniting the school community in prayer and thanksgiving for the countless blessings we receive each day.

Through the homily and shared worship, we were reminded of the importance of faith, unity, and humility in our daily lives — especially within the academic environment. Everyone was encouraged to strengthen their values, deepen their relationship with God, and embody compassion and integrity in their actions.

Such celebrations not only nurture spiritual growth but also reinforce our sense of community and shared purpose as one Makapuyat family. Truly, the Holy Mass is the greatest act of love we can offer to God. ❤️

This morning, another meaningful Flag Raising Ceremony was conducted by the teachers, students and personnel of Makapuyat National High School. It was started with a Doxology from Grade 11 Academic - Pythagoras students followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Selected students also recited "Panunumpa sa Watawat", "Panatang Makabayan" and "Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas". After that, the singing of the SDO Hymn and had a Community Dancing to the music of Palarong Pambansa ("Laban na may Puso").

Afterwards, Ms. Jessa Lecaros highlighted this week's value focus, the Integrity - a virtue that goes beyond simply telling the truth. Integrity means being honest in our words, accountable for our actions, and committed to doing what is right. It is reflected in the choices we make every day, whether in the classroom, at home, or in our interactions with others.

To end the ceremony, the School Head explained this weeks value focus and gave an inspirational message on how to take actions on what we are doing. Saying that integrity is something making the right things eventhough no one is watching.

As we begin another week of learning and growth, may we continue to uphold this important value in our classrooms, our homes, and in our community. Let integrity guide every decisions we me made in our life, strengthen our relationships, and inspire us to become responsible, trustworthy, and a compassionate individuals.

📢As per DepEd Order No. 006-2026, schools shall aim to safeguard the rights, well-being, and holistic development of learners by creating a safe and motivating school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The order emphasizes a whole-of-society approach, engaging school personnel, parents, local government units, and community stakeholders in promoting learner protection and well-being.

In line with this, Makapuyat National High School is currently implementing safety mechanism to ensure everyones safety inside the school vicinity. This is regularly conducted every morning before entering the school premises to ensure that no one will enter with hazardous and harmful materials that may cause disruption of classes. These procedures are carried out with fairness, respect, and professionalism, ensuring that the rights and dignity of every learner are protected.

School Personnel, Teacher and SSLG Officers are continuously exert their best efforts to strengthen safety and security of the learner as priority throughout the school year.

🇵🇭 The July 6, 2026 Flag Raising Ceremony began with reverence as Grade 11 Academic–Descartes students led the doxology, followed by the proud singing of the Philippine National Anthem. The Philippine flag was raised by selected members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, a moment that embodied unity and patriotism. Students then recited the Panunumpa sa Watawat, Panatang Makabayan, and Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, affirming their devotion to the nation.

📖 The program continued with the singing of the SDO Hymn and the reading of the Value Focus entitled National Pride by Mrs. Grace Ann P. de Luna, adviser of Grade 11 Academic–Descartes. The message was discussed lightly, reminding everyone that pride in one’s country is not only about symbols but also about living values of discipline, respect, and responsibility. This was followed by an energetic exercise dance led by Grade 11 Academic–Descartes students to the rhythm of Palarong Pambansa, showcasing teamwork and youthful spirit. The commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award was marked by the reading of Secretary Eduardo SL Oban Jr.’s statement by Miss May M. Morales, Grade 10 AP teacher, and a meaningful video presentation.

🌟 School Principal II, Dr. Dave Henry R. Nobleza, closed the ceremony with an inspiring message, reminding students that today is the day for the First Term, First Summative Test. He encouraged everyone to approach the exam with focus and determination, linking the day’s patriotic activities to the pursuit of academic excellence. A short orientation for teaching and non-teaching staff followed, reinforcing the school’s commitment to growth and unity. Indeed, the ceremony reflected the theme “Soaring High Towards Excellence”—a day of national pride, academic preparation, and collective progress.

Celebrating Excellence in Coaching 🌟

The CSE Math & Grammar Wizard National Challenge, held online last June 20, 2026 (10:00 AM for Math and 1:00 PM for Grammar), officially released its results on July 3, 2026. This prestigious competition under Math Sci Guage International honored the Top Best Coaches nationwide, recognizing their dedication and leadership in guiding students to success. Congratulations to all awardees for their remarkable achievements and for inspiring learners to aim higher!

From Makapuyat National High School, five exemplary coaches proudly secured top ranks: Joel P. De Luna (Rank 1, Math Wizard) with 66 contestants from STEM 12, Grace Ann P. De Luna (Rank 3, Math Wizard) with 26 contestants from Grade 11 Academic Track, and Merlene R. Peregrin (Rank 4, Math Wizard) with 20 contestants from GAS 12. In the Grammar Wizard category, Angelica P. Fevidal (Rank 1) with 63 contestants from Grade 12, and Katrina M. Ricafrente (Rank 4) with 30 contestants from Grade 11 also brought immense pride to the institution. Their victories highlight the school’s strong academic culture and commitment to excellence.

These triumphs were made possible through the steadfast leadership of School Principal II, Dr. Dave Henry R. Nobleza, whose guidance continues to empower both teachers and students. Today marks another meaningful step in strengthening the partnership between parents, teachers, and the school community as Makapuyat National High School held a School Parents-Teachers Association meeting this afternoon.

This was spearheaded by our dedicated School Principal and was attended by teacher and our hardworking Homeroom Parent-Teacher Associations Officers.

The meeting outlined:

-Orientation and Dessimination of Deped Issuances related to learners safety protocols

-Planning of School Activities and Election of Officers.

The discussion had a fruitful outcome as they elected a new set of leaders who will continue to serve with dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of our learners and the school community.

On June 29, 2026, Patrolman Edgar M. Jamilla of the PNP–Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station engaged in a meaningful dialogue with School Principal II, Dr. Dave Henry R. Nobleza, at Makapuyat National High School. Their discussion centered on strengthening campus security and ensuring a safe environment for all students, faculty, and personnel. This collaborative effort reflects the shared commitment of both the police force and the school administration to uphold peace and order within the learning community.

Dr. Nobleza emphasized that the institution will now strictly implement a comprehensive Safety Mechanism designed to safeguard everyone inside the campus. This initiative underscores the school’s dedication to fostering a secure and nurturing atmosphere where learners can focus on their studies without fear or distraction. 🌅 The week commenced with solemnity as the STEM 12‑Rutherford students led the doxology, followed by the heartfelt singing of the Philippine National Anthem. With pride and discipline, the Boy Scouts and the PNP Santa Cruz jointly raised the national flag, underscoring their commitment to service and patriotism. Three selected students then guided the community in the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Panatang Makabayan, and Panunumpa sa Bagong Pilipinas. Voices united in harmony during the SDO Hymn, affirming the collective spirit of unity and love for country.

📖 The highlight of the program was the Value Focus for the Week on Thankfulness and Gratefulness, thoughtfully delivered by Ms. Ma. Angelica P. Almonte, adviser of STEM 12‑Rutherford. Her message reminded everyone that true thankfulness is expressed not only in words but in determination and resilience—qualities that enable us to overcome challenges and achieve excellence. Gratitude, she emphasized, strengthens character and inspires perseverance.

The atmosphere then shifted to joy and energy as students, teachers, and even members of the PNP Santa Cruz joined the lively Zumba dance exercise. Moving together to the vibrant rhythm of Palarong Pambansa music, the community celebrated health, camaraderie, and the spirit of grateful living—setting a spirited tone for the day ahead.

🎤 Right after the value talk, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officially conducted the State of the Learners Government Address (SOLGA) 2026. The student leaders presented their accomplishments and completed projects from the previous period, shared a clear report of their stewardship, and introduced the exciting programs, activities, and plans prepared for all learners this school year. It served as a meaningful platform to keep everyone informed, engaged, and involved in school governance.

🎤 Before the program concluded, School Principal II Dr. Dave Henry R. Nobleza shared words of advice, inspiring students to stay focused and disciplined. Afterward, teachers remained for important reminders from the principal, ensuring alignment and readiness for the week ahead. Truly, the morning reflected Makapuyat NHS’ enduring mission of “Soaring High Towards Excellence.”
